Wonder why America is laughing stock of the world

There is nothing wrong with a kid seeing someone in drag.
It's what the person in drag is doing that is the bigger issue.
I saw Milton Berle dressed in drag many times as a kid. Thought it was funny. Never entered my mind (nor my parents') that it was the radical Hollywood commies trying to turn me homo.
it’s was comedy back then. Similar excuse to Ted Danson dressing up in blackface. Different time before woke standards.

Kids can handle more than adults give them credit for. My dad was kind of a boring, buttoned-up type. One Halloween in the late 70's, my parents went to a costume party that their friends were having. Somehow, she convinced him to let her outfit him him as the Rocky Horror Picture Show guy. I was only 5 or 6 at the time, and didn't understand why dad was wearing mom's panty hose ... but I do remember laughing my a$$ off, anyway.

Kids can handle it.

So...

You're in favor of dropping the minimum age for buying and owning a firearm since kids can handle it?

Aren't you against having "woke" standards, though?
Woke standards did away with actors for comedy dressing up. "I saw Milton Berle dressed in drag many times as a kid. Thought it was funny. Never entered my mind (nor my parents') that it was the radical Hollywood commies trying to turn me homo." Luther. Your words, not mine. Woke standards would cancel Milton now because history says he hated gays.

And yes, I'm against woke standards. But good try though.

I think you may have trapped him.
Majors has gone "woke" on us.

That makes no sense whatsover.
Actors still dress in drag for comedy. Two recent movies were listed earlier.

That isn't true.

SNL Drag Kings: 13 Dudes Who Dominated As Famous Ladies | Howard Stern

I understand not watching Saturday Night Live anymore. It hasn't been funny in at least 15 years, but there are many more examples than just SNL... and they still use men in drag on almost every episode. Always have. Dan Aykroyd played Julia Child. Will Ferrell played Janet Reno. John Goodman played Linda Tripp. Dana Carvey was the Church Lady.

This article is from 2015, woke became part of our culture 2014 with Brown/BLM. Elevated the last few years to where we are now.

But yes, those were comedy skits with no intention other than comedy. The transformation went from comedy skits to early young teens learning the art of drag shows. Again, like I said earlier…Ted Danson in blackface for comedy isn’t comedy today. Milton lived in a era when he’s was using his skits for entertainment.

It became a buzz word then. Being woke is a concept that has existed longer than any of us have been alive. It just means you are against injustice, particularly racial injustice. It's funny that this has become a naughty word to the right. It'd be like "patriot" becoming a naughty word to the left.

It's not a naughty word, just a transformation of how society was in 2014 to now. History like you said had been there but accelerated with BLM movement/capitalism. Social justice, it became the term for all injustices to fall on- fall in line with political correctness or enter cancel society .

SNL still uses guys in drag in almost every episode. That has been a hallmark of theirs. They have a hard time keeping female comedians around, because most of the funny skits concerning female characters are played by men in drag. This used to really pi$$ off Maya Rudolph and Kate McKinnon.

Yes, the use of blackface has changed... but men in drag hasn't. That's as prevalent now as ever.
