Just got a text saying a free video of swiperboy may be a NCAA violation.. Anybody know what its talking about?

What is the deal? Just received a text --Renaldo Woolridge video shot for free at New Amsterdam bar on the Strip may violate NCAA rule.

just got a text from govols saying something about woolridges video being shot at a bar on the strip for free being a possible violation????

anyone hearin this

Just got a text Knox News saying that Swiperboys free video shot at New Amsterdam may be in violation.

Anyone know anything about this??

send swiperboy back to cali to become a famous rapper or just make him the team hype-man. when all he's bringing to the team is secondary violations that's not good. not contributing anything on the floor so i say we just put him on the PR team.

Hold on. They gave him the space to shoot a rap video because he is a basketball player or because he is an artist? Seems like a pretty simple solution - basketball had nothing to do with his benefit.

geesh. I hate the NCAA just like the next man but this is stupid. Can't we just cut ties with Swiperboy and pretend this whole thing never happened?

Yeah, let's all blame the student-athlete for all our troubles because he has a hobby outside of his sport- a hobby that will more than likely become his livelihood. :good!:

He hasn't shot the video yet, so if it is a violation is won't happen. He's doing this as an artist and I've noticed he doesn't ever use the Tennessee Basketball team as a way to get fans...he just says hooper rapper

i wished this guy would take his music and go back to calif. !!! he's totally useless to this team, and only cares about this rap junk. if he was into basketball, he could be a fair player, but now, uh oh----- go home !! :banghead2: :banghead2 :realmad: :realmad: :realmad:

Scratch that, I didn't realize he shot part of it yesterday. I was referring to the Facebook event he set up which is for sometime this week

If after all that happened at Bar Knoxville last summer, no cover charges, etc., after all the trouble the basket ball team is in, don't tell me he did not know it was a violation to accept a freebee. I agree the NCAA has way too many dumb rules, and has really gotten out of hand. However, they have us by the short ones as things are today. This is all we needed. Got to report it as a secondary, and Woolridge must pay whatever the normal charge would be asap. This just keeps getting better and better. I'm ready for NSD, and spring practice at this point.
