Worley or Peterman?

Peterman has a strong bullet, he throws accurate, but not as accurate as Worley. Peterman can run way faster than Worley, and he can make plays with his feet. Peterman also makes good decisions and hopefully wont throw many picks.

Makes good decisions based on high school highlights. Check out Worley's high school decision making.

The thing that Peterman brings to the table that Worley doesnt is the fact nobody has seen Peterman play. Therefore all of the "football geniuses" we have on this board have anointed him the starter.

Questions like this is why they have Spring practice. They will be evaluated on their performance and a starter will be decided upon.

I am not sure of that. Most of the posters know more than the coaches about our players and who we should recruit. I don't know why we even hired a new coach. May be some of our experts can also conduct spring practice and the off season S&C workouts.

I say neither cbj will bring the whole cincy off with him. They had the best coaches in America they had to have the qb also........lol

That sounds silly n having this conversation at this point is crazy. If he stole a really good qb recruit in this class vn would call for the freshman to start over both of them....

Let it play out n hope one of them loves winning n refuses to quit... then we have a qb....

Dude its a message board and a legit question, get over yourself. In saying that I believe it will be Peterman. He would have played last season if not for his injury. He is by far the more athletic QB and has the better arm based on film and evals on him. But both seem very level headed and not immature headcases like Bray is.

Can someone please explain to me what Peterman brings to the table for the Vols? I've never seen the guy play.

Peterman is more athletic, has the better arm and more accurate. He was much higher ranked than Worley ( for those that care about that), and is supposed to be very mature, level headed and a great leader. But either way we will be better represented by either of them than Bray and his on/off the field antics.

People are talking about Peterman like he's some elusive runner.

I didn't get that vibe from him at all watching his HS highlights. I saw him make some plays with his feet every now and then, just like 99 percent of high school QB's do, but nothing that "wowed" me.

As for the OP, no one will know until after Spring has come and gone, but I personally think Worley will be the starter.

He is a good enough runner that a package was designed for him last season until he got hurt and they ended up redshirting him, which I'm glad he did now.

Arent you a barrel of laughs and I bet fun to hang out with. How fortunate your fans must be. Fact is both are starting even based on new coach's and offense. Hell Bray would have had to prove he could run the offense. From overal ability and potential just based off film Peterman has the biggest upside. Peterman was a 5.8 4* and was the 8th rated pro style QB. Worley was a 5.6 3* and was the 24th rated pro style QB. Worley has been said to be a system QB and Peterman wasnt. I think either would do great and represent the university with class, unlike what we have had recently. Just think Peterman has the much bigger upside and was a reason Butch was recruiting him as hard as he was.

Racist IMO.

Interesting article today... Of course, as others have said, this is all speculation until the O/W game and even the fall really but still fun to chat about. Really excited to see Peterman in action finally this spring!

I really don't know much about Peterman...but i do know that while watching Worley achieve the deer in headlights look during what should have been his redshirt year; and then being put in during Vandy because of our resident diva....I will say I don't know who i prefer, but I will say I WANT Worley to get his rightful chance with spring practice focused around him instead of Bray...I think he has a TON of potential, but hasn't had the right chance yet...so best of luck to him...i only qualify that by saying I don't have any reservations about Peterman taking the helm and the new staff building around him

If you're on the list of 85 guy who have a scholarship, you should have a chance to compete for a starting job.

Sorry if you clicked expecting an analysis. I`m unenlightened on the 2 UT QBs. I was just wondering what VolNation wants to see happen. I know it will work out in the spring and summer, but who do yall see as the next QB? does anyone have a comparison of their stats from high school? If so,plz include their opp. win pct! I know Worley played with CP in SCar. Peterman was in Fla.... Worley has sucked on the field so far. What do you guys see playing out over the next 8 months? Will Worley or Peterman or ??? get the nod vs. A.P.???? GO VOLS!!!

I'm voting Brent Schaeffer gets the start. IMO

Without reading the responses past the first few, my take is that it will be Pterman. However, to say that Worley has sucked is a grave injustice. As most have said, this will be decided in the spring. Now, that being said, my guess (PURE speculation based on general knowledge and NOT talent) is that Worley will end up transfering and do vry well in a system suited for his attributes. Peterman is a prototypical CBJ QB. He is a built-in gift that CBJ inherited. To say Worley has sucked or is not as talented is wrong and completely misses the point. CBJ recruited Peterman HARD. He is exactly what he likes to see in that spot. This, in no way, maligns Worley. It's all about the system and who fits. Peterman fits.....WELL!!

We need a QB that isn't afraid to come out of the box, that can improvise on the fly and/or under pressure, a QB that has leadership skills on and off the field.
