If this class is stocked with OL and DL then yes, I am fine with that.

I'd like for it to be better, but it's acceptable.

Most definitely. We aren't in a position as a program right now to compete on the level we once did. Give it a couple years with player development and some stability, and we should be in 10x better shape than we currently are.

Sorry, this whole "We are Tennessee, we can pull who we want" argument isn't realistic right now. Need kids who will buy in and bleed on the field for us.

Depends on who our three star recruits end up being. If the majority are linemen, then I can live with that. If not, not so much.

see the spinning stars under my name? That's what we need

but seriously, it kind of depends on the positions doesn't it? OL/DL at 3* while the skill position players are higher. Tack on a couple rough diamonds/under-evaluated players and it seems fine for a base

Would depend on how they were distributed. 4*'s in the DL & DB with high 3*'s in the OL would fit nicely if we are ever going to win the war in rhe trenches.

I would be happy with it, I don't put much stock in rating players especially some of the guys who can't make camps(or afford it) and the recruiting services don't get to see them, ala Montori Hughes.

Certainly if it fills the gaping holes on our current roster. I don't think that our class is gonna be very flashy this year, but hopefully it has a bunch of good lineman than we can build around.

Yes because when it boils right down to it...stars don't really matter once you get on the field with the big boys. A 3 star can out work and out play a 5 star.

Not really, as that would be on the lower end of my expectations. I would expect more 4 stars than 3 stars, and maybe sneaking a 5 star in there.

Is what you posted an accurate projection from what you've seen/heard?

Okay...so you're Hamptonvol on TOS...

Yes I would if it were heavy on OL/DL...that would put us at 11-15th on Rivals

Definately as long as we are filling OL and DL positions and building depth. I don't put much faith in star rankings anyways.

I'll sit back and trust the guys who are paid to evaluate and develop talent until they prove incapable to do so.

what if I told you guys this is a top 10 class?

would you want it more then?

If we get that class year in and year out and 99.9% are lost after one or two years due to grades or criminal behavior I think our coaching staff will have us playing for the SEC championship on a regular basis. Just my two cents. I don't believe you have to have the top 5 class, just a continual top 10 class that keeps the majority through their Junior year.

I can't make a decision on that without knowing offer lists.

Exactly. If we are competing with the Bama, UF's, and LSU's, cool, good class. If we are going against mid-tier schools, no, not a good class.

I have always said that if Tennessee can consistently maintain a top 10 recruiting class and FILL ITS NEED POSITIONS, we can compete with any team in the country. I stand by that statement.

I expect a top-10 class. That's the expectation (for me) every year, no matter the coach.

If it turns out to be a top ten class, then I'd be ecstatic. Curious to know possible scenarios under which it would be a top ten class though...

FTR, I'm predicting it'll be around 11th to 13th.

I'm going to get blitz for this but I think a class of all Seniors (some four, some 3) backed up by a class of all Juniors (some 4, some 3 stars) beats a team of all 5 and 4 star starters who are sophomores and hardly any juniors or seniors. Just my thoughts. I want talented guys who stick with the program 4 years and know what their team mates are going to do before they even do it.
