Nope. Said Bruce can be fired, should be fired. Great coach here, but done enough to be fired. Also said the decision to fire him has nothing to do with who could be a replacement. If he is fired it is because UT has no choice.

I wanted him to resign or be fired prior to the season and said as much on here. I still feel the same way, he and MH should be gone.

Again, instead of smearing people, engage in a discussion. How did I go back on comments? Also, what does being a great coach and motivator have to do with lying to ncaa and hindering investigation by asking others to lie? Did that happen or did it not happen? It did, according to UT and Pearl. THAT is the issue. I doubt being a great motoivator makes up for that.

Yes he lied to the NCAA. Yes he should be suspended but I really do NOT think there is a better fit out there for UT. He has a great system and I think players have bought into his methods. I just think his style fits our team because he has won games with lesser talent.

It doesnt matter if you think there is a better fit. If the NCAA comes down as hard on him as a lot of folks think they will, UT has no other choice but to fire him. Judging by recent events, I have a feeling that he sees the writing on the wall. The basketball program will survive and UT will hire a good coach.

I will say I love my coach and am not ready to give him his walking papers just yet. Enough about me and my thoughts, I want to poll the wounded fan base. I want to end this with a Go Vols!

. So I assume you are taking back your comment about me going back on my comments? You still haven't explained how I did that. Furthermore, how can you say someone doesn't have faith in Tennessee when clearly you don't have faith in Tennessee enough to make a change and get competent replacement. We have faith in TN being able to survive without Pearl. Your comments contradict themselves and I just explained how. I am a Tennessee fan before and after Bruce and have enough faith in TN to get rid of a coach who has hurt program considerably. Noone argues he is good fit, that is irrelevant now. He did this, I didn't make him do it.

There won't be a decision on BP's future until UT recieves the letter from the NCAA. Right now, the odds of this season being his last are the same as him coaching at UT for five more years.

I'm split on this topic honestly. I love his personality and the emotion he shows and I honestly believe he lives for Tennessee hoops and this university right now. With that said there is the recruiting issue and lying to the NCAA that is a black eye but honestly in my opinion and under the circumstances isn't as big of a deal as other situations. I'm not glad he did it or that it's right but I can move on past it. Then you figure the way the team has preformed this year against much lower level teams and at home of all places and the thought of Bruce stepping down or being fired becomes a legit thought. I say we wait and see what the rest of the season holds before we let go of the most succesful mens coach we've had in a LONG time.

He has definitely resurrected UR basketball. To those who say he should be fired, I ask if they have ever lied at work? What he did was very stupid since it was only a secondary violation only. We have all tried to cover our tracks when we have done something wrong. My only question for BP is where did he think the NCAA got the picture from? He should have known that one of the players took the pic and told the investigators all about it.
