Pearl got us to an ODEN BLOCK away from the ELITE EIGHT, someone explain to me please how that isn't better than the previous four coaches? If I'm missing something then let me in on it!

If you're going to go there, then you need to also point out we were up almost 20 in the second half as well.

So he gets no credit for actually being in the game with Ostate? With two high draft picks to our 0. Be fair now! They did blow the lead but we had no Oden answer! It wasn't bad coaching. And if we go this route then Kiffin shouldn't get any cred for having FB team in a position to win at Bama? That's not fair or correct! I don't necc think he can win a championship at TN, but I do know that he's got a better chance than we've had in years. We don't have 5 stars lining up to play at TN, Pearl has brought more highly touted talent than any previous (relatively recent) coach. He's moving us closer whether he gets it or not. If not hell build the program up and we then might have more cred to get a coach that can! Its a win win. Jus lik bruce does ..win win

This site reminds of the CHRONICLES of NARNIA....

You (meaning any number of fans who are supportive of the present program and coach) aren't going to sway the ICE PRINCESS - HAT and his followers away from their position until total defeat of their argument is achieved - that being Pearl getting a NC.

Now I can say that if that happens we have a win win for everybody.

No it won't take that....it will take showing that the team improves and doesn't keep making the same mistakes. So far that hasn't happened.

He is not getting paid the level of money to "just be in the game."

That type of thought should be reserved for the DII level teams of the world.

Until he wins anything of note when it matters, I will continue to say he is vastly overpaid.

Your opinion, nor the opinions of the other Pearl Slurpers will convince me otherwise.

It is my prerogative to see BP for the Used Car Salesman Snake that he is.

I'm a coach and don't personally like his style of play. But it works, he has won everywhere he has been man. That's not my opinion-its fact. I can argue all day long that Cal is still the memphis coach but its not fact. All I'm saying is he has improved our program. If yall disagree with facts that's on you.But you can google our overall records prePearl era and pearl era to see it for your self.

Agreed about your entitlement to an opinion. Good point, you don't have to like him. That's where your OPINION comes into play. Lesson 1 over
Lesson 2 begin. It is fact that the winloss and postseason success of the Tennessee mens basketball team has IMPROVED since BP was hired as the HC. That's where the fact part comes into play. We don't "VOTE" on a final W-L record at the end of the year, they actually play games and keep record of it.AMAZING

He is a glorified Jerry Green minus a KMart comment and add in a painted chest.

He has filled seats with some of the least knowledgeable fans the world has ever seen.

Until he displays some sort of improvement he will not take this program where it needs to go.

Its taken us TO THE TOURNEY!!!!! We didn't go to the tourney before, much less the sweet sixteen twice! Cmon you act like we are a perrenial 25 win team for the last 15 years, the only reason you can say that we LOST IN THE TOURNEY IS BC WE aRE IN THE TOURNEY....

That last statement is an oxymoron if you know recent UT basketball history. He improved it to get it towards where it needs to go, you really can't admit it can you . SMDH

hahaha. Anytime someone is mad at Lofton4Three just read some of the recent threads with him trying to argue with me. He abuses the English language and does not understand it enough to know why I am laughing. He also will owe me $500 if Florida makes the Final Four, but if Florida makes the Final 4 I have also agreed not to post on here anymore. He may have been trying to make a different bet, but you know typing is difficult.

The bet that I am proposing is if Florida makes the Final Four, you receive $500. If they don't, you can no longer post.

Sorry, I agreed to the bet proposed and quoted it when it occurred. I will not agree to the other bet as it is unlikely Florida makes it to the Final Four and I enjoy gigging you too much to leave.
