Which, to draw a comparison to the pro game, makes him Don Nelson or Mike D'Antoni. My problem is that people try to pass him off as Larry Brown or Pop.I like Pearl, and I'll be the first to say that he has done some very good things with the basketball program. Since he has been on the Hill, he has recruited well, he has fielded teams that can run and gun and win tons of games, and he has brought energy and enthusiasm back to UT basketball.
I like the Don Nelson comparison, because they both sweat like like runaway refugee's.
But orangenyc is the one flinging that allegation without proof so sweating profusely or referring to Pearl as a refugee could qualify under his asinine definition.
No one is making a crack about his nose or love of money or anything else traditionally antisemitic, but I am uncomfortable with all the discussion of his skin color. If people called Tubby Smith "Tanning Bed" we would not be happy with it.
My cousin is Jewish and his skin is much darker than mine. He would be offended if someone acted like he was in a tanning bed all of the time when the fact is that his skin absent tanning is just darker.
