Wow I am suprised about all the negative posters here.

The majority of those posting now are the same 5 or so that are bashing CBP on every Vols bball posting. If you guys were paying any attention, I wouldn't have to connect dots.

Perhaps but I think it very telling that even those who like Pearl and what he has done have written you off as completely off base with the drivel you're posting.

So they disagree with you, I thought differing opinions were welcomed with the liberal thinkers of the world such as yourself. paint a coherent picture that doesn't include veiled allegations of racism and close mindedness, come right out and say what you feel, then we won't have to fill in the blanks for you.

it was always a 'maybe this is why they hate him, because it makes no sense'. link it if I'm wrong, but that is what I've tried to clarify many, many times now. I can link to that if you'd like, but it seems like you guys just hear what you want once you're mad.

Take a bit of your own advice here. Instead of assuming or hearing what you want to hear from me, please show me a post where I have bashed Pearl?

And I am not mad. I've actually got a huge smile on face reading all this. Its like watching an 8th grade bully getting the pulp beat out of him, and he thinks he's winning. Then he gets beat some more.

:cray: Now that's a sad story. Cotton farmers= never racist.

the day you could hold a candle to anyone in my family, they'd likely call it quits. I'm only guessing, but from what I know of them...

Those are the exact same people who busted their asses to make sure I'm better educated than you are so that I don't make absurd generalizations or regularly speak from pure ignorance.

look who the bigot is now. You basically are implying that all cotton farmers are racist, or that a cotton farmer cannot help but be a racist. classy.

In my travels across the country I have found that racism in just about every rural area is every bit as bad as it is in the south and some places even worse.

^this^ is true. In metropolitan areas outside the south, however, there is much less overt racism. Not saying no racists, but in NYC if a white guy were to say racist things to another white guy(stranger) he'd probably be shunned if not beat up. In Nashville that isn't true at all. Pennsylvania and Iowa are easily as racist as anywhere you could be, but racists usually don't want to live in the city, for what should be obvious reasons. I'm sure anti-semitism is much more prevalent in the North, where there are a lot of Jews.

But he never actually said it you see.[/QUOTE)

I know. And he will say that's not what he meant and that he never said that...just like nobody has ever said that they didn't like Pearl because he's a Jew. :)

You're not my bro, bro. HAHAHA. What a shift in your pretentiousness! Let's see, are you making 'generalizations' about my ability to burn your family with candle fire? Why would I do that? First of all, I'm way more smokey bear than arsonist... and you OCCASIONALLY speak from pure ignorance?:eek:k:

You did that really nicely for an uneducated bigoted redneck. (You did admit you are 16 and live in east Tennessee so I can only assume the rest.)

That is sarcasm for those who haven't read the last 8 pages of this nonsense.

It appears that our NYC boy moved to NYC because that's where Mommy and Daddy got jobs.

thank you. i thought i played that well.

There are 6 of you here besides me and you like to act like it's some huge consensus... I was just trying to make BPV cry, and he did, so it's done now. If you guys have legit reasons for hating CBP, fine. Do a better job of stating what those are and who we could get that would be an improvement next time and we can avoid all this. Sure Phil Jackson could do better, but be realistic. All I hear is selective reasoning and dismissal of really legit accomplishments that any program would be proud of; accomplishments that us, as VOLS, are not used to at all. So I try to make you mad. So what? Nothing you guys don't do, albeit your typical approach is much more frat-boy-esque. You guys aren't the 'cool kids' of Volnation. You aren't even funny, before you start getting so defensive! More like the 'teething crew'. I've got stuff to do, and as much as I love watching BPV reminisce, I'll have to leave that for another time. See you soon! Go VOLS.

Those people in Nashville who outwardly show their racist beliefs are most certainly shunned, I work in Nashville and live nearby.

The overt racism I have seen in Chicago rivals that of any I've seen just about anywhere except for Alabama and Georgia. The south is not over racism by any stretch of the imagination though. Let's not act as if the south is any more prejudiced than say the northwest for example.

So a legit reason for hating Pearl would be because he's a Jew? That's a legit reason. I thought wanting Final Four's, seeing improvement from his coaching weaknesses, and player development would be legit reasons. I'm confused.

Are you seriously this consumed with such delusional superiority?

Are only those liberal- minded people worth defending? Seriously?

And sweeping generalizations from the same person who accuses others of being racist? What an open minded free thinker you are. It looks to me like your views are as narrow minded as the racist and bigots you despise.

It is pretty funny that you started off by making a generalization about all NYC-ers being liberal and therefore not worth defending then complained that he does "sweeping generalizations". I just thought it was funny....

Love the "Who Else Could We Get Crowd." And of course I should have figured you would be in that crowd.

St. Louis, Mizzura = Very racist/Segregated

It was a play on his words from the post I quoted. I was actually asking if only liberal thinkers were worth defending in his eyes.

There were no generalizations on my part in that post.

Gotcha. My bad. Just struck me as funny and apparently that is what you were going for...well done then

Yes, but St Louis is not viewed as a "sophisticated" city by those who live in New York or Chicago and the like. St Louis is a blue collar city.

I agree with you about the city though, in certain parts of that city it is very hard to believe people actually live there, reminds me of New Orleans in some ways.

I hardly cried. I stepped away. Frankly, arguing with someone whose delusion matches yours for our basketball just gets old. You haven't set forth anything of any redeeming value and made this a debate about regional bigotry.

It's not fun or cool to pick on the class dunce repeatedly. I'll sit back and await someone with at least a hint of capability and leave you to your lost world.

I hardly cried.

So just a tear or two?:cray: You're awesome. I do feel bad though, honestly. You seem ok. Sorry bout the fam remarks. My Gpa was a farmer in TN. I just went into scorched earth mode. You are free to hate P, if you'd like. Just leave us every 3rd thread for a little positivity.
Also, St Louis is awful. My real bro went to school at SLU, who knows why... But rural Missou is worse. That's my point. Is that so ludicrous?
Ok, so just for me, the 'who else could we get crowd', who else could we get? Just answer the question instead of always inventing new reasons its not worthy of an answer...

Go VOLS

I'm not going to count KB as a full member of the crew anymore. 5.4 vs. 1 now.
