...and it's night and day. I know some of that has to do with winning but I can't recall Dooley ever being so magnanimous and praising of his praising even during a win. TBH, I think this is exactly how you motivate today's players and it showed on the field. After watching Chaney presser, I gotta say that the man deserves serious props. He's a total class act and the kind of guy that would inspire loyalty and affection in many players.

Chaney is a great guy and great coach. If he is not retained I'm sure he will not be out of coaching long

I wish him well next year at his next job.

Chaney has been around this team the entire year. Whatever he said at the press conference, I am sure he has been telling them all year. We are just hearing it now.

Face it, he is the only coach in the country with 100% winning record against sec teams as a head coach! He is a winner!

Just think about it - in one game Chaney matched Dooley's SEC wins in two entire seasons! And he didn't need overtime to do it (as Dooley did against Vanderbilt in 2011).

I would like to thank CJC for a wonderful win against a winless Kentucky team. And one awesome press conference too. Really enjoyed them both.

Keep in mind that there's no tomorrow for this team. No reason to talk about flaws or improving for next week or any of that. Nothing left to do but commend them for fighting hard, even if they didn't get the results they wanted this season. I can't imagine Dooley's response would have been much different.

I'd be interested to see how Chaney does as a full-time HC, though. I wouldn't want the experiment to take place at UT, but I think he would do okay.

I have always liked Jim Chaney and would love to keep him if the next HC wants him. The team loves him. Personally I feel like each HC, Kiffin and Dooley, sort of held him back each year. He alluded to wanting to do more stuff this year and I think that's what he means. And remember our offense wasn't the problem this year... Flame away

He's made some questionable play calls, but over all this year I believe he's been fine.

Blows DD's presser's out of the water, even after his wins. The praise for the players was phenomenal and deserved. Glad Chaney got his shot and got to go out on top.

I hope the next coach retains him in some capacity. Seems like a good guy and the team seems to like him. Not sure the same could be said about Dooley.

The kids were having a blast out there today. Lots of excitement and smiles to go around. They were motivated and played solid even if Kentucky is like a high school team. He's a good guy who cares about the players, would love to see him retained in some capacity.

it was obvious that the players like and respect Chaney.

I have to think if Dooley was watching that the Gatorade bath at the end of the game was a real punch in the nads.

I would be smiling too if I was one game from completing another great season on Rocky Top. Great game today "kids".

A Gatorade® bath for capping a 5-7 season with a win over a team that is even worse than UT is a kick in the nads for everybody.
