Wow!!shocked

Durr is a 2 guard. In regards to the team I think it would benefit them if they would stop playing Jas at the 3. Maybe with the wings coming in she can go back to her natural position the four. We've seen over the last two years how uncomfortable she is handling the ball. So run her off screens so she can catch and shoot the ball. Especially, the three ball in which she shot 53% on 8/15 shooting better than all the guards on the team.

And she'll have to compete with juniors Jordan Reynolds and Andraya Carter for 2 years at Tennessee...and possibly Asia Durr if she ends up wearing Orange.

Like some stated above, Durr is more of a 2 guard than point...and I think Reynolds and Carter are probably better suited at the 2 as well. Te'a surely could see the opportunity to play early here at UT.

They're both combo guards who primarily played PG this season. Carter doesn't shoot, so she's not much use at SG.

But let's say they are 2's. Let's also say that Diamond, T'ea and Asia all committ. That means that after next year, Tennessee would have Carter, Reynolds, Middleton, Jackson and Durr at SG rotation. That leaves a lot of players to second guess their commitments.

My money is that Carter is being groomed to be PG after Ariel leaves, or sooner if she doesn't come back. Cooper WILL be competing with Carter for PG.

Honestly, I'm over worrying about other players getting their feelings hurt. The cream will rise to the top. If players transfer, so be it.

Not if they truly want to be Lady Vols

I didn't mean to imply that she wouldn't have any competition at all here at UT. Besides, I'm sure we'll be trying to keep Dangerfield in her home state the very next year as she will graduate in 2016 and is from Murfreesboro. So, of course there will be competition. I still want her to commit! I def don't want UCONN and USCe to get em all!

Te'a will have to compete for playing time with Cuervas for 3 years if she chooses USCe. With Ariel leaving next year, she could slide on in to UT's line-up pretty easily. That is if she works for it and shows she is as good as advertised and is a team player. I'll be disappointed if she doesn't choose TENN but I don't think it's do or die. I'll take a team full of gals that play hard and give 100% effort to the concept of TEAM any day. Our other gals will just have to bond together and figure out how to do that! And I'll gladly take Durr :)

Cooper would be able to beat out Cuevas for starting spot. Cuevas is more of a player you want coming off the bench anyways you want a spark.

3-4 guards can play simultaneously. To hell with their labels. Sign guards--the more the murderous!

We have been caught with too few quality guards for years, so, yes, talented guards are always an asset.

With the way UCONN is recruiting in their next class, I say bring em all to TENN...Cooper, Durr, DeShields, Brown, Robinson...all of em. Somebody is gonna have to step up to challenge them...might as well be us!

Yeah, we need to start getting mean & nasty in recruiting (but no cheating) as the evil Empire to the north does. Those players mentioned above would no doubt bring another national championship banner to the one & only true Empire of women's basketball which is UT.

Maybe she has an orange shirt or two she can wear when she takes off her Garnet and Black uniform....lol. I am hoping anyway.....it's either you guys or she will be a Lady Gamecock. I don't see UGa in the picture.

Right now I would say my feeling for Cooper being a Vol is very strong. Some of the language she uses just gives you the thought that Tennessee is her favorite team. DeShields is harder to figure you really don't know what she is going to do she gives no clues. Cooper said that if they had to go to different schools that was ok. So that gave me the thought that there is some division in their thinking. We will know soon enough as Tea is announcing the first part of June. We really need her she is a great point guard. Right now if we could get two of Cooper, Durr, and DeShields I would consider it a great success. I think if in 2015 we put Russell, Nared, Durr, Graves, and Cooper on the floor or Deshields instead of Durr or both we can play with anybody. If we get all three the talent level would be as high as we've ever had at Tennessee. It is all coming down soon and it certainly seems to be between two teams.

It should be very apparent by now that Diamond and Cooper plan on playing together.[/QUOTE

That is exactly what I want together at the University of Tennessee. The waiting for a decision is painful those two really up the odds for another Tennessee final four in the near future.

we could have 5 Diamond D's and 5 Elena delle donne's and still Geno would beat us without better coaching, imho
