'19 WV OL Darnell Wright (Tennessee signee)

The Vols still have a few big-name targets on the board, including Rivals100 linebacker Henry To'oto'o, but there is no bigger target, physically or metaphorically, than five-star offensive tackle Darnell Wright. The Vols have been in the driver’s seat for Wright for the better part of a year, but are still waiting for things to become official when he announces his commitment on Signing Day. West Virginia and North Carolina have both made late runs at Wright with their new coaches, but it would be a shock to see him end up anywhere but Knoxville.

Are the experts still giving us the edge here? It seems every time go go in the last week before signing day we are optomistic on several players only to get nada when it counts

we have survived Ohio State, Alabama, and Georgia. are we really worried about UNC or WVU with new coaches? I am not.

Would really like to put this one to rest. The WVU fans are feeling confident and I’m tired of their trash talk.

So does this guy just not know where he is going or does he like to be chased?
I don't know how many times it has to be said.

He planned on doing a NSD event so members of his team could get exposure. thats been the plan from the start. he doesn't like drama so no point changing it around.

we survived Bama, Georgia, and Ohio State all year long. I am not worried about UNC and WVU coming in last minute. honestly, just think about when some 4 star adds us as a hat on the table. do we have a shot? no. they are just hats on the table, if that.

I see. I haven't seen that rumor yet. Thanks for the latest. :)

School was cancelled due to bad weather at his high school, but he made the trip there to visit the 9 WVU COACHES that showed up to visit him. I still think this kid is a Vol, but I wish signing day would get here already.

Vols are still in excellent position for Wright. WVU and Neal Brown are doing what they should — go all out for No. 1 player in the state. It’s a win-win for their staff. Get nice exposure wooing a 5-star target and build excitement/interest in potential in-state 2020s. Wright and his mom will be back at Tennessee this weekend.
