'19 WV OL Darnell Wright (Tennessee signee)

because the plan, even before he locked onto UT, was to sign in Feb. We rail against kids not keeping the word/commitment, but when one does keep his word we freak out that Wright is going somewhere else.

Ohio State? nah TN
Bama? nah TN
UGA? nah TN
UNC? nah TN
TN? nah WVU

makes complete sense.
While I do think he is UT bound. Your essentially saying he's choosing UT over higher ranked schools. Then saying that a school in lower standing has no chance to take him.

Agree, and didn't it come out that he took the OV to WVU out of respect for his home-state? That was the only other OV he took besides UT and he indicated that Brown would do great there. Implying that he will not be apart of Brown's tenure at WVU.

Wright also has made it clear he waited as long as possible to commit publicly to help his fellow teammates continue to get exposure and scholarship offers, if I recall. I would not worry here.
If that’s true then he’s a heck of a teammate, a selfless player. Something else we need at TN

The WEst Va love is purely helping them from a perspective for future instate prospects. Unlike some instate TN guys(cough russell) other kids out there much highly ranked(cough wright) are respectable to their in state school.

It does when you are from WV

What I am saying is that we have outlasted those bigger schools. so worrying about a "lower" school is foolish when we have quotes favoring us. If everything was pointing to WVU I would be worried and you would have a point.

you know how many times i've seen a post like that about a prospect we were after, but were clearly behind? too many to count. "they've given him something to think about"

please. quay walker, Henry to'oto'o, justin eboigbe, kris bogle, Olijah Griffin, Isaac taylor stewart, etc, etc, etc......all had glowing things to say about TN, all had "plenty to think about"....and all will, or did, wind up going with the program they were long in on or thought to be the favorite.

we're on the other end of that equation this time. he's coming to TN.
Vonn Bell, dalton santos, Derrick brown, Derrick Green, gosh I could go on for days.

Gonna be great publicity having ESPN’s highest rated uncommitted prospect (5* Top 10 player) announce for the Vols on national TV giving us two top 10 players.

ESPN is the only one that has Morris & Wright rated correctly.

It’ll be great to get national publicity on the recruiting trail.

We should have at least 3 top 10 players! Crouch is one of the best players in the '19 cycle & Morris got the Vol commit bump. I truely believe that.
