WWE Thread III

I wouldn't be upset if Lashley came back to conquer the beast, i know it won't happen though. He's just one of the only guys i can think of with everything you need to beat him.

I think that's by design. When you have a beast like Lesnar who is just so physically superior, you have to book him like a normal-sized person's attacks aren't going to do the trick. He sold stuff from Cena. He sold stuff from Roman. Outside of them, who is really big enough to make the fans think "oh yeah, I can totally believe that this dude is hurting Brock"?

But Joe hitting a Musclebuster, then getting the Clutch on Brock at Mania? I'd believe that.

I would counter with Brock's flipping off Taker while in the Devil's Triangle. Brock just doesn't sell for anyone, IMO. And at this point, even if he was ready, willing, and Gable (ha!) to sell, it just isn't believable.

I don't think his fights with Undertaker are a true gauge, because I don't think Taker should be winning any of the matches he fights anymore.

The point of using that match as an example was that the result was booked in such a way as to give Taker a legit claim to victory, and Brock no-sold it in the most badass way he could. So if that's what he does for one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, why would he sell for any lesser talent?

I would believe Nakamura beats Brock Lesnar. And you have him win similar to how Asuka beat Nia Jax, not with a "finisher" but by knocking them the **** out with kicks to the head after a stiff as hell match.

I would love for it to be Nakamura. It needs to be someone who could benefit from that rub.

Nakamura is so far over right now, I don't know that he would "need" the rub, but can you imagine how freaking over he could be in a well-booked feud with Brock? Maybe play up the angle of Brock being this loose cannon intent on actually injuring everyone he faces. Then I think the comparison of Asuka/Nia Jax is spot on as to how they would need to handle a match against Brock. Give him 3 or 4 kinshasa's in a row and kill the beast.

Lol....uh, no.

Still not sure that wasn't close to what the finish was supposed to be though, minus the blood.

I agree. I just think Lesnar got too wild. Wouldn't be the first time he did. Won't be the last unless Vince grows a pair and suspends him without pay

I do, however, think they rule out any legit loss for Lesnar until there is absolutely no possible door open for Conor McGregor. They won't let Lesnar show weakness until after a McGregor fight or McGregor starts losing in UFC. Too much pride in the product to give a UFC punk bragging points.

I still can't buy the script was to write Orton off as that weak though. Granted everybody that faces Lesnar gets that treatment, but to build this match up and having Orton just coming back doesn't add up. And Lesnar barely sold that RKO on the table.

I've heard some speculate the F5 to Shane will lead to Shane trying to find someone who can challenge the beast. I swear if this ends in Lesnar vs. Golderberg at Wrestlemania I'll cancel my network subscription. Been there, booed that.

Edit: Also, hindsight being 20/20, if wwe had saved Balor's demon form they could have built it as some type of supernatural power a la Taker or Kane. Then that power be what defeats Brock. It would look ridiculous with 190 lbs Balor beating Lesnar, but someone needs to.

I don't think they care.

Na!
Ka!
Mu!
Ra!

Been thinking about it (way too much) today, and this is what I want to see. Make it happen at Mania next year. I don't know how they could improve on Nakamura's entrance last night, but they would find a way to make it happen at WM. And all respect to Bobby Rhode, but THAT would redefine GLORIOUS.

I'm back on the Roode bandwagon. I just loved his entrance too much, especially with him illuminating all the screens
