WWE Thread III

a lack of any and all Wyatts at Summerslam is just ridiculous. So many things should have gone completely differently. They missed the mark practically top-to-bottom.

Following the 2nd biggest night of the year (arguably 3rd depending on where you rank the Raw following Mania), I've been watching the previous night's Takeover intros on replay instead of anything from Summerslam.

Man I'm looking at the roster and there is only one guy on the roster that A) Needs a big time rub by beating Brock and B)Has the talent to continue the momentum.

I'm curious who you guys think should pin Brock

I don't think it can be anyone at this point. If last night's ending went as scripted, then they have booked Brock in such a way that no one on Earth can logically beat him one on one. 2 of the last 3 yrs at SummerSlam Brock has beaten 10+ time world champs like red-headed stepchildren. Maybe if they would've let Randy get some offense in other than the RKO outta nowhere I could believe that Brock could be beat.

Agree. Orton was booked terribly in that match, Brock just completely buried him.

If that's a blade job, Randy needs to have all possibly sharp instruments removed from his reach and he should be evaluated for possible psych issues.

Dang. That's all it takes for Vince to change his opinion of Finn from tough Irishman to injury prone small guy.

How many people does Rollins have to hurt with that corner powerbomb before it dawns on them to make him stop doing it?

The most ironic part, is I think that bucklebomb looks weak. I've been taught through all my years of watching wrestling that dangerous part of the turnbuckle in the corner is under the padding.

I agree. It would be a lot more believable, and more of a heel move to do it with the padding off.

they could book Joe to beat him

I like Rollins, but at some point someone has to calm his recklessness down. He also broke Cena's nose.

What about stroman?

Braun is too slow. He could never keep up with Brock. By the time he'd take a step, Brock would already have charged at him, backed him into the corner, and given him a couple shoulders to the abdomen.

To go with Brock at this point, you have to have size AND speed (and/or agility). Don't think anyone beating Brock except for Joe, at this point, is believable.

I just feel like he's the only guy wwe has at this point who could believeably beat Lesnar, aside from Taker.

IMO, part of the problem now with Brock is that in combination with his dominant booking, he cannot (or will not?) sell his opponent's offense. At this point, the only wrestlers you could realistically match up against Brock are physical monsters: Strowman and Joe do come to mind. But if Lesnar doesn't sell their moves, they still come out looking weak regardless of outcome.

I think it's him not wanting to sell. The RKO's he took last night were pathetic. But what can WWE do at this point, they're pretty much tied to Lesnar until he wants to hang it up.

I think that's by design. When you have a beast like Lesnar who is just so physically superior, you have to book him like a normal-sized person's attacks aren't going to do the trick. He sold stuff from Cena. He sold stuff from Roman. Outside of them, who is really big enough to make the fans think "oh yeah, I can totally believe that this dude is hurting Brock"?

But Joe hitting a Musclebuster, then getting the Clutch on Brock at Mania? I'd believe that.
