WWE Thread III

The most impactful Shield reunion would be in the style of the Avengers coming together. If there were a large NWO type faction form that threatened the WWE and the Shield became forced to reunite to stop them.

As for short term, I be had this idea that could be a really good story to help revitalize some bland characters but it'll never happen because it requires the one thing Vince is unwilling to do. A Roman and Usos heel turn. Have them form the Samoan Shield. A better version of the Shield (their words). They already get 50/50 reactions so there is heat to be had. Then, bonus heat for using the Shield name. And as I said these guys' characters have become bland so this angle would give them more depth and probably allow Roman's natural cocky personality shine through.

The first part of your post is kind of what I was thinking too. The Club would be a good choice IMO. Bring in Finn and turn them loose on the roster. I don't see a shield reunion happening anytime soon though.

I think Reigns needs to turn away from the Usos. I'm not sure anyone went bland faster than the Usos in WWE history. They actually put on good matches, their gimmick just got old fast and I don't really know why.

The warrior thing is stale and they just don't have much personality.

Personally, there is a disconnect for me between wild, badass mofo Samoan warrior heritage and neon pink and green facepaint. This may be a picky detail, but I just don't take them seriously as BAMFs, because they don't have a very aggressive persona.

Ultimate Warrior could pull off the bright colors because he was allowed to actually act like a crazy man in the ring. If the Usos make a heel turn, they should lose the colors and dial up the ferocity in the ring.

Exactly. It's the same problem Rocky Maivia had when he was the smiling all the time.

Apparently there's a rumor SD and RAW will have their own PPVs each month, as in 2 ppvs a month, besides the months of Royal Rumble, WM, Summer Slam, Survivor Series.

That may just be a bit overkill.

In other words, they're going to effectively just have an extra Smackdown and Raw each month and blow off all the angles on WWEN. Makes sense.

Also some are trying to push for a 3 hour Smackdown. Fwiw, apparently some are saying that's horrible and even trying to scale RAW back to two hours.

I'd make both two hours and a live Smackdown on Thursdays. The wrestlers would get Tues, Wed and Sundays off. Fridays, Saturdays and whatever night your brand isn't on TV is a house show. Maybe I'm less of a fan, but I'd rather spread out my wrestling instead of back to back nights.

With separate brands the talent could have more nights off than that. I'd have live RAW Monday, RAW brand house shows Tuesday and/or Wednesday. Live Smackdown Thursday, Smackdown brand house shows Friday and/or Saturday. That way RAW guys would have Thursday-Sunday off and Smackdown would have Sunday-Wednesday off. The only weeks guys would work more than three days would be PPV weeks.

Why would it matter if Brock loses in UFC?

I'm in the camp that feels it will knock the luster off of him and whoever finally gets a clean pinfall on him after ending Taker's streak. I think Vince wants him to win so that Roman can pin Brock at SummerSlam.
