Sacremento Gold Miners (1993-1994)
Las Vega Posse (1994)
Shreveport Pirates (1994-1995)
Baltimore CFL Colts/Stallions (1994-1995)
Birmingham Barracudas (1995)
Memphis Mad Dogs (1995)
San Antonio Texans (1995) - Gold Miners moved to SA to become the Texans, the Texans were originally supposed to be an expansion team in 1993.
Proposed teams that never played:
Miami Manatees - supposed to play in 1996 and were the relocated Las Vegas Posse
Mississippi CFL Team - supposed to begin play in Jackson, MS in 1995
Orlando Stingrays - supposedly a team that was to start in 1996
Baltimore was by far the most successful, with their 2 seasons averaging over 30K fans a game and winning the Grey Cup in 1995. Every team besides Baltimore and San Antonio folded after the 1995 season, and those 2 were to keep going. But the Browns moving to Baltimore to become the Ravens ended the Stallions and with no other American teams the Texans folded soon after.
Fun fact, the Liberty Bowl's field and setup made it impossible to have a field that was legal by CFL rules; the field and endzones were far smaller than every other CFL field.
