Did the ump tap him on the leg with a bat before the pitch? If so, completely defensible response.

I remember Matheny going apesh*t on an ump because he was shoving down on his back before the pitch. For some reason, I think his name was Joe Crawford, but that's the name of the bald NBA ref isn't it?

U've been missing out brother. He's full of nonsense and trolls awfully hard in the Reds threads. He has a hatred for Phillips that is quite comical and defends Tony like he's a saint.

Jerry Crawford was an MLB umpire. His brother Joe was/is NBA.

I'll bet you a thousand $ that you can't find where I said anything close to Tony being a Saint and we can give the proceeds to St.Judes.
And I "troll" on Reds threads when the Cards are mentioned.
And League wide Molina is very well respected and liked.
Phillips? Not so much.

Hat posted almost exactly what I was thinking, although I don't have feelings that extreme towards the guy.

Yeah, nothing says class like an organization that venerates and employs the king of the steroid era.

You're full of shiit.

Yeah, I forgot how you know so many more people in and around baseball than me. I mean, it's not like Molina played AA here and might well be the only player ever to pass through that the clubhouse guys and front office staff openly rooted for to fail.

Let's see.
One team has had an owner and a mngr banned and one hasn't. I must be thinking about the Cards because the squeeky clean cicny alter boys couldn't be the team of which I'm thinking.
Reds fans jealousy cracks me up. Since joining the NLC the reds are usually an annual after thought. Very similar to the Astros and Brewers. Every now and then you make a run and usually your making a run at us. Reds remind me of South Carolina football team. Their usually not in the mix but holy **** the cockiness of their fans when they do is funny.

Morons who don't know the first damn thing they are talking about but like to pretend they do should simply keep their mouths shut. You are starting to look almost as stupid as you did defending your pal Fatass Phil.

Yes they should.
And as far as Fulmer goes I stand by what I said. After winning a national title he had earned one losing season. If he didn't fix things then fire him. And I stated many times it was time for him to go.
BTW nice change the subject move.

Molina is not very well liked. He's trash, in fact. And using the "no one throws at him" excuse doesn't work during the greatest era of wussification the game has ever experienced.

Great post. Now, go back to being part of a fanbase stupid enough to belive Mark McGwire when he said he was clean and Tony LaRussa when he pled ignorance about the fact the A's and Cards were bigger juicers than the East German olympic teams.

You're wrong. I go to over half of the home games and have very good seats right behind the home duggout. I watch the interactions with other teams and he is actually one of the most visited by other players.
And I wasn't using the throwing at as an argument but nice try.

Jealous of what? The two World Series the Cards have won in the last 40 years? Your team's ability to blow a 3-1 series lead to that powerhouse '85 Royals team? Watching the '87 Twins, as bad a Series winner as there has ever been, come back to beat you?

Never said he didn't use and didn't say he didn't know. All of MLB knew and all teams had users. You don't have to admit that. But you know it's true.

I'm saying if pitchers in today's game actually had a pair he'd be on his tail much more often. You can take what you see all day long. I'll take the words of people who actually know him.

He gets thrown at as much, if not more, than anyone in the game.

Guys always flocked over to Clemens. That didn't mean any of them would piss on him if he were ablaze.

You gotta get to the series to lose it.
You sound like a Cubs fan. Not upset that your team is rarely in the mix but happy another team loses. It's sad. I'm glad I have a team that's usually in the mix.
