Yahoo Sports/Pete Thamel Article Says Coaches Expect UT to Flop at the Dance

way too much talk about overlooking this 12 seed that is hot as hell coming in here. Really hopeful the team doesn’t but into this hype or a second round match up and if they do we will be just another 5 seed that loses to a 12 and it happens OFTEN
Spot on. If we've learned anything about this years team it's that you never know what they'll bring from night to night.

Look at it this way: You can blame the dirty UF player the moment you are out of the tournament.

Plus, the Gators are as mediocre gets ourselves, and so its not like we'll have some tournament success to brag about, either.

I read one article online (don't remember, maybe Fansided) that states UT is the least likely 5 seed to lose.

Least likely makes sense. Georgetown is playing great basketball. Winthrop has lost 1 game all year and are playing really well. Creighton is overrated. Still doesn’t mean we won’t lay an egg though.

IDK - seems like we're snakebite in the NCAAT. We lost our post player for Loyola of Chicago, and some Purdue player nobody ever heard of went off for 7-10 threes

Maybe we're due for some luck this time out.

Haha, I'm sure plenty will do exactly that.

As a UF fan, what's your take on the whole Payne/Fulk thing?

Me personally, I really appreciate that Payne contacted Fulk, regardless of his prerogative. Obviously Fulk scored a lot of saintly points with his tweet. That being said, I truly objectively believe it is absurd that neither UF nor the SEC have imposed further penalties at this point. I will be legitimately upset if Payne plays on Friday, and I would say that if it were a UT player or anyone else on any other team.

And to be clear, and to present an unpopular opinion, my anger is directed at UF and the SEC. Payne is OK by my book.

Not clear how the gators tournament performance would matter to any Vol fan, especially in regards to losing one of our starters due to dirty actions by Payne?

Not sure. Thing is, if you suspend him you penalize the other players. And especially where it's a small team sport that is true even more disproportionately. It may be the only thing you can do but I'm not sure what else might be more focused on just him.

Well his misconduct certainly penalized our whole team and especially Fulky so I can’t see why you would think that’s even a factor for consideration

Bro, that makes no sense at all.

Do you agree or disagree:
Merely getting the flagrant 2 is not appropriate recourse for the egregious and malicious infraction. Further suspension would be a more appropriate response to set a fair precedent.

They are right because losing Fulky was a killer for us. It's really ****ed up that Florida does that to us, and now has a cake walk to the Sweet 16. **** them

Not having Fulky today definitely hurt, but we need a true big man in the middle. 6’ 9” is simply not big enough in today’s game. Maybe Plavsic can develop and feel that role.
