Nobody wanted CJG fired and I don't know why people keep making stupid threads like this every day. Every time a kid gives a verbal pledge some one on here makes a thread saying but but but I thought Butch couldn't recruit and this staff can't recruit 4 stars and stupid sarcasm threads. This is the University of Tennessee and the fans should act like they have been there before and seen this before, sorry for the venting but s**t like this gets annoying.

Exactly. I haven't seen any threads calling for any of these coaches to be fired. The only "negative" (if it is even negative) is a concern about a running back and the fear that Vandy may actually do better than us in recruiting. But pretty much all I saw.

Like I said I don't recall seeing anyone calling for the firing of any coaches. Most of us realize the situation coach Jones came into and I've seen nothing but positive talk about Jay.
But I do find it funny how some on this very thread celebrating the North get were some of the same posters calling the recruit rankings garbage. haha funny how that works.

I don't know why they wanted him fired. We were in the top two for the best running back in the country. We were the bridesmaid but still. He's doing GREAT.

That girl is trying way too hard to be hip. She's too white to pull it off. And I don't think anybody really questions jay graham. Except for maybe a few trolls

No one said fire Jay Graham. Uninformed people from the football forum were talking about recruiting. That's your first problem.

But the OP is making this way more than it was

Ohhhh give me a break. Whoa is CBJ for the 2 months he has had.

Graham deserves the credit all on his own for the pulls he's been working on. I'm sure his love for UT shows through in the living rooms he sits in and over the phone. He is fighting with emotion to get UT back on top. I don't know how CBJ will turn out but right now the best thing I've seen him ACTUALLY do not just say was to keep graham. But frankly that was a no brainer.

The coach needs to bring this class home. That means signed LOI to play football. He made a giant step last night but there still is much more to do to even get us in the top 15-20. I would not count anyone until they are signed, sealed, and delivered. Remember the last two years alone had some last minute surprises on "locks" that were coming to The Hill.

Maybe we should all wait until signing day and see who signs and who doesn't and see where this class ranks alongside the rest of the SEC before we start popping champagne corks or calling for coach's heads?

Really? In 2 months he was supposed to undo several years of idiocy... Like I said, Jones came into a helluva worse situation than many realize.

Exactly correct.
I have a record on this site of holding coaches accountable. And I will do the same with Jones good or bad. But to complain about him already is just dumb.

Class of 15. A big blocking TE. Call me when he is the next Jason Witten. I don't see it.

He ids a freak for his age. I don't see the love.

Call you when ...? I don't think so! Why don't you just go ahead and root for the Kittens only and quit posting negavol comments on this post. You better look out, as we RISE TO THE TOP people like you may be injured!

Agreed. Coaches should be held accountable. I don't want to keep seeing the same "wait until his first game before you make an evaluation", followed by "wait until the season is over before you make an evaluation" followed by "give him three years before you make an evaluation"...etc, etc, like so many morons here did with Dooley. I think we should definitely judge Butch Jones and his staff based on who they sign Feb. 6th. But there's no point in making a judgement before then.

Judging him after NSD is fine but we must take everything into consideration.
Also I'm not going to set a record I expect next season either. What I want to see is a well coached team that shows improvement as the season progresses.

I have been vocal about the staff's recruiting. However I have never called or seen anyone call for any coach on this staff to be fired. CBJ and staff took the job offered. I don't think it was the right hire. But never called for any of these coaches to be fired this soon. Op your reaching bad here bro. I do like the North pickup great job CJG now hold on to him CBJ!
