You are straight up the most self-absorbent person I have ever come across on these boards. Do you honestly think that because "I haven't been formerly educated", that I don't know about the faith I have chosen to be a part of and how and where it started?? Also, do you really know what being a "Christian" is?? Do you think your born in to it?? Just because your born into a family that attends church, doesn't make you a Christian by association. I was born into a family like that, but it wasn't until January 2004 (I was 24) that I turned my life over to God and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. As far as Global Warming goes, it seems that you have about as much faith in it as I have in my Christianity. So, your faith is science, and my faith is God, or so that's the way you just made it sound. I'll take God over some theory based science any day of the week.

Why is it so important that you know whether he's a Christian or not?
You are telling me that I was never a Christian those 20 years of my life because I am not one now without even knowing me, feel you can confidently say Catholics (and I assume Anglicans, Eastern Orthodox, and Russian Orthodox people) are not really Christians because you personally studied the matter, and breathlessly tell me wrong information about a subject matter I specialize in (climate change) when describing the reasons for your beliefs on the matter. Ya, I am a real jackass.
I would still like to hear your version of the timeline of the Christian faith, starting with his death.
You might have your fancy smancy science IP, but I've got my gut.Oh, and as far as Global Warming goes, you've had a fellow engineer echo most of the same exact things I have said, yet you don't take him seriously at all, only yourself. Sorry my friend, it doesn't take an engineer to figure out what it bunk and what isn't , as far as scientific theories go. I learned how to do that in the 7th grade or earlier..
Ok, so, if you were a Christian, and I actually never said you weren't I just questioned that you thought you were one, why did you leave?? Did you feel you couldn't live up to the expectations?? Did you somehow think science was going to solve all the world's problems?? I would love, and Jesus more than I, to see you rededicate your life to Christ. I love when people become saved, it let's me know that there is hope for the human race and the possibility of peace.
I left because I grew up and quit believing in invisible super beings. I learned about all sorts of cultures who each thought they had the answers. I learned about themes that are in the Bible that were actually popular in several mystic groups in the Middle East around the same time. I heard outright lies about science being told to me by one too many preachers. I saw the incredibly poor record the Church had over major issues, over time for being the one organization in touch with the almighty and all-knowing God. I heard one too many Christian judge and decide another human being, such as saying Catholics don't follow Christ. I learned about the arbitrary nature of the selection of the books of the Bible. etc. etc. etc.
Basically, I learned too many contradictory details. And that's not even getting into the neurological and psychological aspects of religion.
Here, let's try this: If there is a God, may I never be able to post on this forum again.
