Yemi granted release. (order of protection taken 4/22)

As I said if this had anything to do with why he is leaving then he shouldn't have kept playing. Simple as that
Not really that simple when you don't have the facts. You don't know who knew what and when they knew it. He wasn't arrested. In the end it worked itself out and he's gone.

In the Criminal Justice System the people are represented by two separate, yet equally important groups. The police who solve the crime and the VolNation holier than thou posters who prosecute the offenders, these are their stories." DUMB DUMB! !!

What I'm saying is this...maybe this incident happens, is brought to CCM attention. He is informed there's no evidence and thus no arrest, so he allows Yemi to play. Shortly after the season is over this OP is placed and new evidence comes out that CCM feels is too much to keep Yemi around?

You guys are confusing me. So you're saying CCM ran Yemi off? I thought you were saying the opposite earlier. Or did I misunderstand?

Ignore the first few pages of the thread--they are no longer operative.

Orders of Protections(which is very different than a Restraining Order in Tennessee) are also granted when one party may not show up for court for the OP hearing.

It flip flops which ever way it benefits martin.

I suspect no one here really knows what went on between Martin and Yemi. Yet that hasn't stopped a number of people from posting opinions as though they were facts.

Just another day at VolNation . . .

I wouldn't consider a legal problem as Martin running him off, kind of Yemi's own doing, which is what I've been saying since page 1...Martin wasn't forcing Yemi out.

I still view it as Martin running him off since Yemi probably doesn't have much of a say in the matter at this point, but it doesn't appear to be because of a lack of production, if that's what you're getting at.

I would guess law enforcement was involved that night or shortly thereafter...

Why so long on the OP??

Isn't that something put in place to protect someone. Nearly 2months after the fact seems very odd to me if law enforcement was involved that soon after the incident

I'm just now quickly catching up, but I think someone posted that there was a "temporary" OP, or something like that, in February. Sounds like a temporary restraining order...it's an order to stop said conduct, in this case being near the petitioner, until a full hearing is held on the OP.
That's how I understand the situation.

K. That makes much more sense. Thanks

I wish my best to Yemi. Hopefully he can get this resolved and then get back to playing basketball. Regardless of this incident, he's a good person. He has just made a bad decision.
