Martin is such a F-in douche!!! Yemi was going to be a good player for us. He improved every game he played in and did his job. This was a dumb move by Martin and he can go "F" himself. He might as well transfer too, because he won't be here to much longer
This could be the dumbest :censored: post of the year.

Agreed. Chievous was making an impact in his very few minutes off the bench. People got excited when they saw Reese hit a coulple 3s, but I always thought he would struggle to contribute. Hope I'm wrong, but I don't think Edwards or Reese have any business on this team.

I think you are right on the money

Here's Yemi's tweet: “@Yemite0: Sometimes, change may not be what we want, but it's what we need in order to grow.”

Saying change isn't what he wants but what he needs his hardly him saying he was forced out.

Kris Budden read one of Yemi's tweets on air.

See above tweet...

And FYI BTO - I am going to start asking for links to your posts.

;)

A poster asked for a link yesterday, I gladly provided it... :hi:

I read the tweet to mean that this is not a change he wants or why else would he write/tweet that.

"Change" (no longer being on the Volunteer bball team) "may not be what we want".

That statement has only one implication and that is not that he voluntarily chose to leave the team.

If you believe otherwise, you need to have your head examined.

I think the words 'forced out' bother some.
'We came to a mutual agreement' is what was quoted.
Just a less coarse way to state the same.

He may want more playing time overall, so the change is going to happen, even though he may not necessarily want to leave UT. However, in order to get more playing time, the change must happen.

He was at the ow game today. My son and I said hey to him. He was kinda arrogant which surprised me. We didn't ask for anything, just said hello, and he acted kinda rude

Players being forced out has become a part of college basketball. But for some reason people don't want to admit the truth of what occurred with Yemi. I can only surmise that the CCM die hards think it would be a slight on CCM (or sully his reputation) to admit or accept that Yemi was forced out.

Yemi is like that player who hustles hard and does all the right things on defense but on offense is lost...the guy replacing him brings more offense and has the same defense which is why he is being replaced...the staff wouldn't make the change if they didn't see an improvement...now you can bet CCM and staff are calling around and helping Yemi find a landing spot

I've heard from a few people he isn't what you would think, kind of arrogant as you mention. As I mentioned last week, I've heard everything from legal issues to grade problems as to why he is transferring...anyone who thinks Martin is forcing Yemi out while the possibility of Stokes leaving still looms is out of their mind. From what I've heard the decision has been set on Yemi for awhile, not sure what the issue was but it was something severe enough that he's leaving...like I said, Martin wouldn't FORCE yemi to transfer with the chance stokes may also go, that'd leave him with only Ndiaye at C...there are better options on the team he could FORCE out.

There's a reason Yemi is transferring, and it's not I'm fairly certain it's not PT.

I could care less if he forces people out, I wish he would force Edwards out...yemi has done something. If Martin was picking people to randomly "force" out, to make room, he wouldn't start with yemi.

Rumors, Rumors, Rumors, Speculation, more Speculation from the king of asking everyone for a link for about anything they post on here!

I really don't care that Yemi is leaving but he is being replaced with more deadwood.

The point is you get on here almost daily and attack people because they do not agree with you. You constantly ask for "links" as part of your smart arss way when you yourself post rumor and speculation all the time - and "things you heard".

If I say something as fact I tell you, and will provide a link if asked, just like I did yesterday.

Like I said, if you think CCM is forcing Yemi out (he hasn't done anything to deserve it), you're more clueless than I already thought. It would make ZERO sense for CCM to force Yemi out, the post is already thin and may get thinner, to think he wants Yemi gone is asinine...he went and got Ndiaye because he knew Yemi was gone.

I didn't read the whole thread so SIAP....

The notion that Martin ran off Yemi so he could bring in some juco big man that played single digit minutes and averaged < 2 points and < 2 boards is laughable.

Just like it is laughable to say-think that CCM is going to lead the Vols to the Elite 8 this coming year is laughable!!!

The point Coach Martin, is we all think you should spend more time recruiting and less time on VN
