If Tennessee were looking for any help to make them look better in the eyes of the committee that door has been slammed shut.

Not only did Georgia win, but the game went to overtime. The committee will see this as "very competitive" even though both teams kind of sucked and I think Tennessee could have beaten either on on Saturday.

Also Pedophile State didn't get blown out by Oregon and will now be assured a home game.

And finally worthless trash Clemson now gets into the playoffs putting us in direct competition with yet another team. So the final seeding will most likely look like this with Tennessee going on the road.

Seed
1. Oregon
2. Georgia
3. Boise St
4. Arizona St
5. Notre Dame
6. Texas
7. Penn St
8. Ohio St
9. Tennessee
10. Indiana
11. SMU
12.Clemson

I don't really know about 10-12 or whether Bama gets in because it doesn't really concern Tennessee other than do they rank Clemson ahead of Tennessee because they won the conference which is totally an argument someone on that dumb committee will try and make.

So if you are a fan of things being absolutely as difficult as possible for Tennessee you'll probably be getting your wish. I just hope they can hold their own or win against OSU before getting squashed by Oregon.

With Beck now out, does that fsu uga?
No, since they are SEC champions they earned a bye, and they actually played better with the back up anyway.

In any event, if we would really have beaten Texas or Georgia yesterday and Clemson is worthless compared to us as OP believes then we should cruise thru the playoffs and win the natty with ease. I am not sure why he is even worried about where we are seeded.

Quite the opposite, I think everything went EXACTLY how we could have realistically wanted it yesterday.

We were never going to host when they put us at the #9 seed on Tuesday. With Georgia winning, that puts them on the opposite side of the bracket from us.

We do have a tough road in the first 2 rounds, but I think we are capable of beating both tOSU & Oregon. We should be able to avoid other SEC teams until the semifinal or NC game.

Also, ‘Bama possibly gets left out.

Considering how Stockton performed, no it does not. He looked better than Beck. As I recall, FSU was down to their 3rd string QB who was pitiful.

If we do play in Columbus and somehow win there, im not terrified about playing Oregon in Pasadena.
Somehow our fans would get there in big numbers, maybe 20,000.
And even though Gabriel is a handful, Oregons defense doesn’t scare me.
They are small and had trouble tackling especially the tight end.
I think Kitselman and Bru (if he’s mostly healthy) could be tough for them to bring down.
Their dline is ok but not elite.

You immediately lose all credibility when you rank SMU ahead of Clemson.

Brother, they played yesterday.

This I saw no team playing yesterday that we could not beat if the right version of Tennessee shows up on the field.

Had Georgia or PSU been blown out there's absolutely a chance Tennessee could have been the 8 seed. Georgia was only ranked 2 spots ahead of Tennessee and people have suspected PSU a fraud all year they could have dropped like Indiana did.

Tennessee may escape with their lives from The Shoe but they aren't beating that Oregon team no way. Our offense can't score enough to keep up even if our defense plays well.

We're firmly in the playoff with only one good win. We should all happy, appreciative and thankful. Not worried about yesterday when we didn't even play. GoVols. 🍊
Two good wins if you count Bama. I was mad at first, because it took overtime to beat Florida, but seeing how they dismantled LSU and Ole Miss at the end of the season with Lagway, I now feel a lot better about it and consider it the Vols best win.

As I said in my post I could care less about the teams ranked behind Tennessee. I just threw them in there in no particular order in my mind. I really don't care where they are ranked or if SMU is kicked out for Bama makes no difference to me

Many sports reporters believe we will be at PSU. That wouldn’t surprise me.

Oregon’s secondary played terribly. They didn’t cover well and had numerous busts. Their pass rush left open running lanes. Their offense looks legit but their defense was very unimpressive.
