It’s always the same. State the obvious about Milton and they always say it just your football IQ. Why don’t you Milton lovers come up with something new and original. For instance you could say the detractors are racist, or trolls,or negavols, why must it always be ones football IQ ???
Now Butchy, based on yesterday’s game State the obvious for us about Joe. Is the 4 holding penalties, false starts, dropped passes for a critical 1st downs , the 8 minute drives by Missouri, the LB’s missing tackles, LB not coving on the 5 or 6 wheel routes, the qb running from our own 2 yd line on 3rd and long all Joe’s fault? Tell how obvious it is.

Joe, with all his flaws, also had no help from the O-Coordinator. The playcalling yesterday was atrocious. The slant, which many teams have beaten TN with, was open all game. Mizzou was playing soft zone coverage. DBs were 3-5 yards off the receiver most of the game. The playcalling lacked ingenuity.
It's like we scheme a few plays to get receivers open....our run game is between the tackles. If both don't work we are screwed.

You serious ? YAC are non existent because we don't have Tillman or Hyatt. Hell just yesterday you saw Keyton step out of bounds on his own on a perfectly thrown ball. We don't have many weapons out there.

Joe wasn't great but he was not the main problem. A lot of poster have a low football IQ, if you win the QB is great , if you lose QB is terrible, pass me another Beer. They hang around for the party and some just know blame or praise the QB and you'll look like you're a part of this football thing.
Miz decided because of last year trying to blitz and stay with the receivers didn't work to the tune of 66 points. They gave us 5 & 10 yard cushions and we ran the ball for a 3 & out our first series. Our coaches thought we could run on them and it blew up in their face. So they go in at half knowing their giving us everything underneath and 1st play they run the option and fumble and lose 10 yards. The play calling and the defense and untimely penalties lost the game in that order, Joe wasn't great but he had around 260 yards 22 of 32 but the pick 6 took away from that decent stat line. There was plenty of blame to go around the QB wasn't first on the list but seems to be the favorite for the malcontents as it is with most driveby fans no matter what is actually happening, its an easy retort.

I definitely agree. Many glaring issues.

And a tons of you all think he will go pro? Thats the most ridiculous thing I have read on here in multiple threads. Even my 15 year old daughter asked why does he throw it so hard and so high???? Ga will be I. His head so fast so I hope we get though that respectfully and then enjoy a Vandy victory.

In my opinion, they don't trust Joe to throw over the middle, too easy for an interception. I believe when hooker played last year many of our big passes came from short to mid slants. This has allowed defenses to collapse at the line and also frees a safety to defend the deep ball.

Milton @6’5, 240 lbs is afraid to get hit that’s why he is hesitant. He still doesn’t understand the offense and I’m not sure that he is capable of understanding it. Same reason he didn’t make it at Michigan. And finally his teammates have zero confidence in him ! But in the end Heuple is to blame for sending him on the field week after week because he is definitely not an asset but a liability

It’s not about defending him, it’s about pushing back on the narrative that he’s THE problem, when there are many problems, many on the other side of the ball. He’s not the guy, but no quarterback is going to when that game Saturday with the defense not getting off the field.

Our defense was the biggest problem

Mizzou had possession double what we did because our defense couldn't get off the field then when our offense had the ball we struggled and couldn't move the chains (bad plays, play calling, and penalties killed us)

Joe didn't help alot, but he wasn't the biggest problem IMO Saturday... not even close

A stud QB could have changed that game significantly.

In his defense, he didn’t force Keyton out of bounds on a breakaway TD….. he didn’t make S. White drop a key pass and he didn’t fumble in the red zone right before the half.
You saw that, too? No one forced him either, he just stepped out on his own. No awareness.

Ok, man. Go work your tail off on defense, then have your offense go out there and run for 2 yards, then throw 2 consecutive inaccurate incompletions in 30 seconds, and tell me that isn't demoralizing and affect your play. There is a reason they say the QB is the most important position on the field.

A

He does. He's 6 through 8 in every statistically category.
I can't watch those games and say that what he has done, taken as a whole, is average play for the best CFB conference in the country. Any stats he has at or close to average are lifted by a squad of solid skill position talent.

Does working your tail off on defense allow for a no name running back look like a 1st round pick? This is a team failure. The defense did NOT show up today. Neither did the Offense. The only one that did is the damn Punter. #PunterU

Some of you are undervaluing the importance of good QB play on a football team. The NFL has no problem pulling a QB that underperforms. The loyalty to Joe is disheartening.

No name? You mean the leagues leading rusher BEFORE this game?

I'll add he's definitely getting drafted. NFL scouts are drooling over his versatility.
