W.TN.Orange Blood, In defense of ruggy1, let me quote from the Board Guidelines: "Our goal is to provide a free message board for Tennessee fans (and fans of other schools who are respectful) to engage in discussion with other fans." Seems like it is you who has written an inappropriate post, not ruggy. Additionally, you posted in a thread created by a TN fan about Geno Auriemma and his suggested new BB rules. It wasn't ruggy that brought up uconn and his response was in reference to another post discussing attendance.

Further, several times you flouted the guidelines by being disrespectful to ruggy in your post. Item 3 states in part: "..take the childish insults elsewhere.... attack the post and not the poster."

Note that I'm not telling you how you should behave on this site. Just pointing you to the rules as a public service.

His comments make more sense if you look at them from a self-serving point of view. He gains his advantage on offense so he would like the rules to emphasize offense.

I don't really like that so much. It isn't exciting to see the posts have to stand there flat footed with their hands in the air rather than trying to block a shot. It isn't fun to watch the offensive player try to run down the defensive one and create contact. Creating a ring under the rim where you can't play defense or take a charge was just flat out silly, and you couldn't justify it by the players getting so high in the air that it was a safety issue as could arguably be said for the men's game. They just want to emulate every damn fool thing the men do, or the international teams do, to try to pump up the scoring.

They want to be followers rather than leaders. And there is no advantage for them in that because they will always be slower, weaker and less skilled than the leagues they are emulating such as the men's teams or professional women's teams. So what will distinguish them if they mimic those other leagues when the only difference is the level of play?

Better to reward tough defense and have the excitement that creates. Better to play a purer form of the game rather than the watered down, bastardized, Michael Jordaned crap that people play now.

The Yum Center is not bigger about the same 22000 seating Thompson Boling 21768 used to be over 23000 but some seats were removed for luxury boxes.
Your sole purpose here is to run down Pat Summit whenever you get the chance and the Tennessee Lady Vols. That is your whole purpose in visiting this board. I will just ignore your post you have no imput that I am interested in viewing I am totally here to discuss Tennessee basketball and football. I have no desire to discuss anything UConn there is no association between the two programs anymore.

Ok, your post sucks but you don't. Is that better? This is a Tennessee board and a lady vol forum, not Uconn board. If you don't like the criticism of your coach, I suggest you go to the Uconn board, if it exist. As to why Pat refused to play Geno is because he cheats. Specifically recruiting M Moore. It is well documented that she got preferential treatment with visits to ESPN, a recruting violation, but in true NCAA fashion they turned a blind eye. So in closing worship the cheating scumbag if you like, just don't do it on a TN message board and in particular the lady Vol forum without expecting to get called out. Go over to the Uconn board and start talking about Pat as the greatest coach of all time and see how courteous your fans are.

I know things can still change, but that would be the best chance of meeting. Your only challenge would be beating Baylor.
