Your daily Republican grievance: Black mermaids, etc al.

1. Everyone knew Velma was gay. Literally no one comes out "as gay" and people are actually surprised. Everyone already knows.

2. I support gay marriage 100% as long as both chicks are hot.
Actually, there are some Scooby Doo stories with Velma and Shaggy dating. Why do we as a culture feel the need to try and invent gayness for Children l’s cartoon series?

Looks like conservatives are now mad that Aunt Jemima is gone. So, from them it's a no on black mermaids, but a yes on black house servants. Got it.

Where's the equal representation? There should be MAGA LEGOs too, like 50-year old obese Karens asking to talk to the manager, and Trumpers in MAGA caps assaulting cops with flagpoles.

Sorry, we are too upset by the bastardization of Ronald Dahl‘s books to deal with anything else this week. When you are fighting a continuous rearguard action to preserve Western Civilization, you don’t get much free time.

Funny thing, it's your side that's the only ones talking about it. Literally, every story I see it's people like you claiming Republican people are mad, yet I don't see any Republicans even commenting. Just a bunch of people claiming how mad they are. Kinda like "you got trump this time ", or "Twitter is finished ". You guys just make stuff up to be outraged about 🤣

I think Conservatives are more upset that liberals, specifically white liberals, more specifically white liberal women, think they have some sort of moral high ground that allows them to take up causes on behalf of other groups that aren’t really offended at all. For example, Aunt Jemima’s family
Great-grandson of Syracuse’s Aunt Jemima angry at her removal: ‘This is an injustice’

That was a helluva summer though, remember with the black rectangle profile pictures on Instagram and burning $hit down all over the country for no reason. Good times

"Invent gayness"

Gayness exists now as a perfectly normal part of life, and that's why it's in cartoons. It would be more weird if it weren't in cartoons. Might as well ask why there are single parents in cartoons.

Rot starts small. When the infection isn't cleaned, it spreads and contaminates unspoiled areas. Just ask mildew or gangrene. The same is/was true of Nazism and McCarthyism. Both of which are returning in spirit in our society today. And it's true of gayness as well. And now, you boast of infecting children as well.

Well, for ages, Whites have made Black and Brown characters White. Isn't that pandering too? Turnabout if fair play, I say.
Well, one thing for sure…we all know Santa is white. No black man is gonna be stuck in snow his whole life.

That was funny, probably true as well. :D
Santa is a fictional character portrayed as some old, fat, White dude. Who, outside of kids, nobody cares about. Because, you see, Christmas, contrary to the twice faked lies about it being Christus' birthday, and the reason for the holiday, it's all about worshiping a decorated tree (Jer. 10:2-4), and making money by selling mostly junk stuff, a lot of which is discarded 1-2 weeks after. And kiddie toys played with for maybe a month or two, forgotten and languishes ignored the rest of the year. The old, fat, White dude? Basically forgotten until the same time next year. Even as a child, I was largely unimpressed with the guy. Even when I saw his imitators in other skin tones. But then again, I was always sort of different than other kids. The only thing I liked about him was the smell of cherry tobacco pipe smoke, and the fact he drank Coca Cola. Yeah, there was one such Santa seated just inside, I think, a Woolworth back then.

Would it upset you if next year has a white guy playing black panther?

Would it upset you? Besides that, panther's aren't really black, they're spotted if you very closely at their fur. Assuming you got the guts to try that, unless it's a pet from kittenhood.

And once again, you're talking about fictional characters. What ticks off African-Americans is stuff like Whites cast as real people of color like the Queen of Sheba or Mariane Pearl was portrayed by Angelina Jolie. See the difference? So again, does it upset you for a White to play the role of the Black Panther?

You didn't answer. Flipping the question isn't an answer. So answer it.

We can talk historical people. Please see Bridgerton

Even your non-answer paints a picture that it does make you upset to see it but only one way. Which means you don't have a principle to back it up. Just hypocritical nonsense.

Why I do declare, a clairvoyant wannabe. And presuming to give me orders? My, my, here's the thing colonel, I'm not in your army. Further, if you could read, you'd see I did answer. Further, Queen of Sheba I know, Mariane Pearl I know, but who is Bridgerton? Another fictional character? Does whoever is portraying him bother you?

Bridgerton is about the Queen of England (Charlotte) in the 15th century and is portrayed by a black woman. It ticks off British people. Is that acceptable to you?

I guess you did answer. You are bothered by it but only one way.

Your original question to me was, if was OK with me, a White person portraying the Black Panther. My answer was clear enough that the BP like the Little Mermaid is a fictional character. Then I told you if it was a real historical person like the Queen of Sheba, who was portrayed by various White females in various versions of films. Or Mariane Pearl who was portrayed by Angelina Jolie, it would be an issue for Black folks. But now, what I see in your posts is: a Black Little Mermaid!? How dare you!!! How'd you feel if there was a White Black Panther!!?? Just something else for self-righteous Trumpian, Republiars to target. Well, here's the rub,UTV88, black fictional characters (example: Othello) and MANY real life Black people have been portrayed by White cast members. If you indignant, burning at the collar people want to feel pissed off, get pissed off at the many Whites who portrayed Black people through the firm industry's history, who, uh, ahem, stooped so low as to portray, MY GOSH! A black in film or a Broadway type show. The foolishness of people is in calculable. I just can't wait to see the stupidity when a Klingon portrays Commandeer Riker, or Scotty.

Passing the buck by saying black people have the problems while dismissing English people having issues with Queen Charlotte.

Since you are inserting your own ignorant, mostly incoherent, view of a thought of mine that you made up, I might as well correct the record..

I have a problem with anyone who doesn't match a basic look of the character they are portraying, fiction or nonfiction. If the author of the story describes the person or it is a tale from a culture, then that's what they should look like. That goes for Marianne Pearl, Queen of Sheba, Queen Charlotte, Black Panther, Blade, Black Beard, Rapunzel, Snow White, Napoleon, Anastasia, Mulan and any character or person whose features have been expressed or dictated. I believe that celebrates our cultures and differences and also shows them positively. I think the world would be better off seeing that every culture has their version of Cinderella and seeing it in a truer form. There are African folklores that are ignored to maintain the European ones.

If you are talking about a story like GOT then the author made them look that way for a reason. I have no idea what you are talking about with Klingon or whatever.

I agree with the author of the op ed that I provided. Who, despite you thinking you speak for them, is African American.
