Mne has rationale. Yours is senseless.

I know, mine were all silly a kidding. chill.

Point is UF won and noone will pass them, and i like that Utah went undefeated, but i wouldnt be able to put them past UF same way I wouldnt be able to put an undefeated Boise St. above that years UF.

So... does UT take up spots 5-7?

exactly, because your record tells where you can be placed in the final standings. While florida can be put anywhere from 14th to 1st and OU 13th to 2nd, UT is locked into a spot in the 5th through 7th area.

That's how it works right? :)

That was actually a really sad joke that a co-worker and Auburn fan shared. I guess he thought I would share in his lamenting... I didn't.

I was thinking this morning... It's been said by some of us that we just can't put Utah ahead of team X... How many of us would have thought they would throttle Alabama? The more I think about it, the more I realize Utah got completely screwed. They were playing excellent ball at the end of the year, never lost a game, and are being told they are clearly not in the conversation for national champion. But no one really KNOWS they wouldn't beat Florida.

i'm one to have believed that Bama was on borrowed time to begin with. them losing the last two games to the two best teams they played all year (LSU, Clemson, Auburn, Tennessee all turned out to be good in name value only....all turned out to be way overrated).......the only 'good' team they beat all year in the reg. season was Georgia, who also didn't live up to the hype. their best win may have been Ole Miss when it's all said and done.......

i think if you're touting UTah as a real #1, then you are one that believed Bama was all that.

I thought bama was good, but really benefited from what turned out to be a soft schedule, especially by SEC normal standards.

taking that in to consideration, and understanding that JPW never has been and wan't going to be a qb that could win a game for his team..........it's not really all that surprising that Bama was susceptible to getting beat by a team that was simply faster than they were.

i think Utah is very good and is worthy of a top 3 finish. but the eyeball test wont' allow me to say they are honestly better than USC or Florida.
