They seemed to do pretty good againt what many of us thought was a top notch bama defense.
I was at the game. Alabama was about as interested in being there as a 10 year old is in going to the dentist.

Not really. They had nothing to gain. Same as OU against Boise a couple of years ago. Had either of those games been played in September, the mid major darlings would have gotten their brains stomped out of their craniums.

Well the same could be said for SC for multiple rose bowls in a row. The oklahoma loss seemed a lot more flukey than this one. That and the fact that that boise team's star player wasn't even the leading rusher on his team this season. Utah has a lot more NFL talent than boise did. That's not to say if the game wasn't played 10 times bama wouldn't win most of them.

Remind me how many Mountain West or WAC teams SC has played in those Rose Bowls. I'm quite certain you would have seen a different effort from Alabama if the other side of the scoreboard said "Texas" or "Ohio State."

The way USC keeps losing 1 game to somebody they probably wouldn't is like Florida State in the late 80's and 90's. If there had been a playoff back then, they probably would have won at least 2 more NC's. Like USC of late, they seemed to be playing the best at the end of the year, but either couldn't beat Miami early or lost to someone they should have beat late. I still want a playoff, not a plus one or some other silly pacifying BS system. Even the BCS name pisses me off, Bowl Championship Series? What series are we referring to? Let's make it a REAL series of elimination games til we get to the last one standing.... Oh well, one day they will finally get there and people will be amazed this crazy MNC systems ever lasted so long.

Bottom line like I posted before, Florida and Utah number 1.
