I'm just gonna do a top 3:

1. Nickelback - obviously this is going to be at the top of pretty much every red-blooded American's list. The generic nonsense that these guys create is truly painful to hear. A sure-fire way to get kicked out of any party is to put on some Nickelback.

2. Creed - Not too much to say here, just all-around bad music that is super-saturated with les essence de mediocrity.

3. Rap - Pretty much the whole genre. These guys make entire albums glorifying themselves and their possessions. They make their "music" about the most superficial and uninspired subject matter conceivable, but high school kids eat it up cause they think it's edgy. Some don't outgrow it. I have friends who are grown men that still listen to such classics as "bands will make her dance". Yes, I'm aware that some rap actually has a message, but 2pac is long gone, and it ain't gettin'any better.

Which bands do you despise?

I hated Nickelback before it was cool. I hated them the first moment I heard that guys voice.

I hate Bon Jovi more than anything.

One of the many things I have in common with the Dude; I hate the f**ckin' Eagles, man

I also find Dave Matthews Band annoying.

No particular order... nickelback, Dave Matthews, and 2 chains. .. All garbage!

I do like just about all genres though including rap.

I've never understood the Nickelback hate? They are an average band like hundreds of others and there are hundreds that are worse.

Why does everybody hate Nickelback?

I've never been big into music so I don't even know if I've ever heard any of their songs. However, I see how much people hate them any time bands are mentioned. Why? Did these guys kick a pillowcase full of kittens on stage or something?

I do hate Creed. There's about a 1% chance I'd recognize one of their songs on the radio but I remember seeing their lead singer play poker once. He was a real asshat to everybody else and generally had no idea what he was doing.

Pretty much any pop star that gets glorified these days that ends up acting like a gutter tramp or a complete douche. example: Beiber, Cyrus, etc.

Bruno Marrs because he sounds like a girl singing.

Nicki Manaj. Was okay in the beginning, but turned into a complete idiot.

Nirvana. Hated them because they brought in the grunge scene which was a wasted decade of rock

Dave Matthews. I think they play this to captured hostages until they break. Favorite band of Somali pirates

Later U2. Early stuff was good until they went to that whole Europop thing.

I'm sure there's more I'd rather pop my eardrums out with an ice pick over, just can't think of them right now.

Steven Tyler's voice does the same for me, but i still like their music.

From the very moment I heard that guys voice I changed the station. It took years to find out that bands name. Not a single one of their songs is good. I always changed the station immediately. I have no idea how they were ever popular. They used to be. Folls have gotten smarter.

I mean thats cool and understandable, but to be so worldly unpopular that people mock people by signs on College GameDay that say "Muschamp likes Nickelback"? I just don't get it." Muschamp likes U2" would be worse.

I don't get that either. They did used to be widely popular. I don't know why everyone makes a joke of it now. It's about time though!
