I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for here. Having to tell someone why Nickelback sucks is like having to tell someone why pain hurts.

Above all else is the obvious...they make bad music. It's offensively generic, poorly-written, and lyrically noxious. It's devoid of any abstract ideas/concepts...the kind of intangibles that are naturally inherent with good art. They try and name-drop drug and sex references to appeal to folks with only the most basic and juvenile expectations from the music they listen to. The lead singer is very unlikable and his vocals are garbage.

I could go on, but there's an entire internet full of reasons why they suck. If you want more, go do some research.

Again, there are hundreds, if not thousands, that are much worse. The "Nickelback sucks more than anyone else ever in history" cult following is stupid.

Well, you wanted an answer from me and I gave you one. If it's not up to par with your expectations, then I apologize.

There was a time when those of us who utterly despise Nickelback thought we were alone. After all, they were going platinum with every album. I guess just finally knowing that we're not actually alone is one reason why there is a "cult" as you put it. It's just affirmation that what we knew must be true all along is actually shared by many, many others. I mean sure, music critics panned everything nickelback touched, but music critics only pull so much weight

Your answer was good, thanks for that. It just doesn't make sense to me that its them that are universally thought of as "the worst ever", jmo. Maybe im just a dumbass.

No, you're not. I mean "worst ever' may be a bit of a stretch. As Kip said "like anyone can even know that". They're just on such a large stage (aka the world), that they're naturally going to draw in more hate than some garage band in Ohio that no one's ever heard of

If you play nickelback music in reverse You can hear satanic messages. Even worse if you play it normal you hear nickelback.

Radio-friendly formula. All the songs sound the same. Really just sucks the art of it all, and makes them super annoying. But some people love them, and they've made truckloads of money, so more power to 'em.
