100% should be. Well except maybe Tyus (unless they can get something better in return).
Roddy, LaRivia, and Konchar are lucky to be on an NBA roster. Ziaire is a G-Leaguer. Complete roster mismanagement from the FO. At this point its comical how smart they think they are (hint, they aren't).
It’s not 6m+ per year. He doesn’t even make $6m in total until 2025. Wonder how high the cap will be then? You know what, never mind. You can't talk bad about Jitty and his $6MM+ per year extension through 26.....
You don't know the game or some crap like that

He’s the 11th highest paid player on the team
This is one of the dumbest possible hills to die on but don’t let me stop you
None of those things are actually true.Still a bad move no matter what metrics you want to use...
The $6.2m wouldn't be the 11th highest right now. It would be 35% higher than the 7th highest paid player. It will likely be the 6th or 7th largest contract in 24-25 because Ja and Des's extensions will be in the cap then. Aggresively extending and paying rotation money to a DNP-CD playoff player isn't a smart move for a small market team.
The best part of this deal is that it pretty much guarantees they won't resign Dillon.
None of those things are actually true.
John Konchar makes $2.3m this season.Konchar did not play in G4 and played last 20 seconds of G1
The only players making more than 6.2in 22-23 are
Ja, JJJ, Adams, Kennard, Dillon, Tyus. The next highest guy is Ziaire in the 4.5s. Wanna multiply 1.35 by 4.5MM. It gets really close to 6.2MM.
In 24-25, the Grizz will have 60 million more in cap obligations to Ja/Bane than 22-23. If you think they are going to resign DB, Tyus, Kennard and then add 4 more players to make Konchar the 11th highest player, you are crazy.
Just a reminder: In WCF season, they traded 2 rotation pieces (including their best/only shooter) and lightly protected 1st to dump salary and get Leuer.
Thought about it for sure but decided he’s not relevant enough to the outcome of the game to be atop the leader board all alone. Ja’s usage and “defense” are major factors in final score.
The move to only throw Jaren the ball in the center of the lane surrounded by 3 people is wild to me. This is something we’ve almost never done. He’s amazing attacking off the bounce. He’s amazing defending the rim.Watching this series I don’t like your offensive sets either. Feels like you could be a lot more creative with Ja/JJJ/Bane
(Also #FreeTyus)
He’s a total pain in the ass but he’s a largely irrelevant replacement level player.
Ja has the ball every second and is attacked defensively every single possession.
Sure. He’s also the only quasi competent perimeter defender on the team. The rest fall somewhere between frighteningly bad and dead grandmas.Dillon gets 30+ minutes per and has a usage rate roughly equal to JJJ. And doesn’t rebound well. And is regressing offensively but still chucking shots as a top 3 offensive weapon.
He’s not irrelevant in how he is allowed to play/is used. He’s an anchor.
Problems on this team:
1.a. Dillon Brooks
1.b. Ja Morant
1.c. Steven Adams injury
6,165,000. John Konchar’s contract
