I would take a guy like this at 6'6 250 over any of the 5'10 170 guys we are currently recruiting... its hard to find guys with his type of size and speed, we need to get this kid to sign pronto

nothing groundbreaking---

TN & Ole Miss are even....he wants a family atmosphere; with Monte coming to support his son, he expects TN to be able to develop that.

he's already said he wants to play for championships--

I think most would say TN has a better shot at a NC 3-4 years from now than Ole Miss, but I don't think we need to have some long-winded debate on that.

If Ole Miss were to sign Z that would be 4 players in this class from TN going to Ole Miss...now that my friends is ridiculous.

I hung out with Z tonight at my house...brother had a party and Z showed up...
1. begged me to believe peter white loves UT and he is not overweight for anyone that thinks he is...says he is a man among men
2. said the basketball game blew him away and said that it was unbelievable, but he was still checken ole miss out before he decides.
3. His 5 best friends are all going to UT and are pretty confident hes sold on UT
4. He doesnt drink or smoke which is great knowing he stayed with Preston Bailey and bailey is about an alcoholic

Well that's the whole point isnt it? CPF just didn't even give these kids a first look let alone a second. That's why I called it ridiculous. I just hope CLK will keep his word by keeping as many in-state kids as possible and I understand that not all of the kids want to come to UT and it will take a while to change the perception of the Vols.

ESPN has named Z the #2 TE in America---no joke. they list Orson Charles #15. I know virtually everyone would dispute those rankings, but it's exciting for Z.

"Bottom line is Mason is a serious sleeper in the 2009 class. His raw athleticism, size, and upside make him a fine prospect and if he focuses on playing just football in college he should be able to come along quickly."
