Zach Azzanni new WR Coach

Yeah it's crazy. Look at all the recruiting classes at all the schools he's been at and you notice that other coaches are credited with all the other commits. And the one or two he's credited with are 2 or 3 *s. But I guess rivals just bold face lies about stuff like that.

I guess Rivals just happens to know about every single recruit that every single coach talks to throughout history. Good grief! Live and die by Rivals, huh?

Urban hired him for one year as a wr coach. Urban didn't need him to recruit at Florida they already had that covered. When Urban went to TOSU he didn't try to hire Azzanni. Bieliemi hired Azzanni for one year at Wisconsin but didn't want him on his staff at Arkansas. Do you see a pattern here? Look at his actual recruiting record not coach speak from Urban. Terrible hire

Terrible hire? Who would you hire?

I have no idea. But when a championship coach calls a guy a relentless recruiter with a great understanding of schemes and recruiting roots in Florida, it's not a bad thing, as much as some on here will try to make it.

It's almost 9:30. Time for another VN ***** session about our new WR coach.

It was a freakin serious question. I know nothing about him. Why don't you go change your yampon and take a midol?

So if CBJ hired Zach Smith you wouldn't be complaining?

He likely is a decent coach but we needed either a great DC or a dynamic recruiter with that last hire. CBJ has fooled me once. I went to bat with everyone concerning his staff now I'm left wondering WTF he's thinking. Pitiful

I totally agree with you on CBJ and his "best coaching staff in the country" claim. He should of never said that. And, it would of been nice to get Tee cause he is a dynamic recruiter.

I lack midol and a yampon. You are the one that is uptight. I just stated the obvious. It's another VN ***** session. I didn't say you were in it. I just told you it was coming.

I never expected the best staff in the country. I gave him a mulligan on that since it was his opening press conference. I certainly didn't expect to go from Tee to this though.

I trust them more than random people calling him a stud recruiter with no evidence to proof it.

He's thinking, "How can I make the worst hire possible and generate pages of discussion on volnation?"

This is what these guys do for a living. I'm trusting Butch to make the right hire. I'll trust him until he gives me reason not to simply due to the fact that he's not Dooley.

He's not a stud recruiter. Stud recruiters get locked down by smart head coaches. This will be Azzanni's 4th job in 4 years and it's not due to getting better jobs.

Did you also trust Dooley? Just saying

I've supported everything CBJ has done even though I don't like his DC hire but you can't tell me this guy is even half as good as Hinshaw was. When Tee fell through CBJ should have immediately called Hinshaw back if he was going to settle for this.

Really don't like that he's gonna start after the rose bowl. But great hire!

Dead period starts Monday I believe. So, won't hurt recruiting much, but it makes me worry based on his statements in the Wisconsin article about wanting to stay. Waiting that long gives him the opportunity to rethink, especially if the new coach comes in and puts the full court press on him.

Probably just me though.

Well the fact is that he's here it's done and now it's up to CBJ and staff to put up or shutup.

I for one am looking forward to the show and I know it's gotta get better than what we have suffered these past 5 years.

I've been reading on here for a few years and this is my first post, but for all of you who think that this is a bad hire. How do we really know yet? I just did five minutes of research to find out the in 2006 he recruited a kid from Michigan to come to Bowling Green. After he Azzanni left, the kid transferred to Michigan State and is now he is playing in the NFL, he's even started a few game. Too bad he was only a three star from Michigan. Lol

GO VOLS!!
