FWIW, i talked to a guy who went to lipscomb and he said that Zach had already verbally committed to UT but is silent. evidently he tells everyone at school that he's going to UT. the only school that he might consider is vandy.

MURFREESBORO — David Lipscomb rolled to the Class A-AA boys track title Friday as junior Zach Rogers won three events and anchored the winning 800-meter relay team.
Rogers had the fastest 100-meter time of any class (10.8 seconds) and also won the 200 meters (21.48) and the long jump (23-7).

“It’s definitely exciting,” Rogers said. “This is the greatest atmosphere you’ll run in all year. You definitely have to come out with that mindset and that confidence that you’re going to go out and perform well.”

There is a nice article on him in the Tennessean. Great track results (which have been spoken about on here before), and how he just took up track to become faster for football. If/when he comes to Tennessee, he coud be the best overall athlete in the class.

If he's the best athlete in the class we are in serious trouble. Dawson, dont get me wrong, I like him, but I hope he's not our premier signee.

Rogers now looks ahead to football season. He said 14 schools have extended a scholarship offer, including Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas and South Carolina.
"Apart from the SEC schools, I'm planning on going out west this summer to check out Oklahoma State and Texas Tech and see what they're got out there," said Rogers, whose brother Austin is a wide receiver at Tennessee.
