Zach Rogers

I was over at ESPN Recruiting reading the "Evaluation Notes" on each of the signees. After reading Zachs I'd swear he's actually the best player we've got. Read for yourself.

Zach Rogers Rankings, Grade, News, Stats - College Football Recruiting 2009 - ESPN

You can't be serious. He's a three star for a reason. Do you think he would be running circles around the high schools in Florida and Bama? You may want him to be the best but you need to wake up from your dream. This Rogers stuff is out of control. Really to the point of no return.

Lets try this line of reasoning...Kiffin definately did not hesitate to tell recruits "you dont fit our system" if he did not think they had potential to be a high quality player. Any word of Kiffin ever telling Rogers to look elsewhere?

Not saying anything about his ability. But he's not the best guy in our class. That's ridiculous.:lolabove:

Where did I imply that he was the best guy in our class? I said that Kiffin obviously told the recruits if he did not think they could produce at the level he was expecting. He did not tell Rogers that. So I will trust that Kiffin knows what this kid is capable of more so than you do.

I was referring to Volzilla's post. He's lost his mind.

Thing is he is 10x better than his brother and his brother saw a lot of playing time.

I am not a Austin Rogers fan by any means, but he was a 'player' for the SEC East Championship team 2 years ago. His brother is bigger, faster, and has better hands than Austin. I think people will be surprised when he is seeing the field early on as well.

This Austin Rogers being a player in our run to the SEC Title Game is overrated. We lost Lucas Taylor in Cutcliffe's system that year and didn't really miss a beat. The system made all of the receivers that year.

Yeah, catching over 50 passes in a season is overrated.

I always felt like A. Rogers was a great option for Ainge. He was obviously not the go to guy, but a great option.

Austin is a fast guy, he's not Zach fast but he has speed. That's why he was returning punts until he got injured earlier in his career.

Sure he has had drops, but you can never questions Austins Heart..
Especially after the UCLA game, and that ridiculous hit he took to the dome in the MSU game year before last. Maybe it was bama, can't remember

So the system is responsible for the WR's success - it had nothing to do with them running the correct routes, catching the ball, and getting upfield and being able to take a hit? What you're saying is cliche, and it doesn't even apply to the situation. You make it sound as if Cut was Leach or somebody of that sort.

Look at Ainge in Cut's system. The ball was coming out fast and there were hardly any passes downfield due to the lack of a deep threat. Them sytem with Smith, Meachem, and Swain was much better and a lot more explosive. Those guys were above average college receivers.

.. Meachem's breakout year was in Cut's system. Swain never reached his full potential, and his best season was essentially the same as Rogers' best season. Oh, and yeah, his best season was under Cut. Smith's best year? 2006.. just like.. well, yeah, you get the point. If Rogers is garbage because he excelled in Cut's system, then so is Meachem.. and Smith.. and Swain.
