.. Meachem's breakout year was in Cut's system. Swain never reached his full potential, and his best season was essentially the same as Rogers' best season. Oh, and yeah, his best season was under Cut. Smith's best year? 2006.. just like.. well, yeah, you get the point. If Rogers is garbage because he excelled in Cut's system, then so is Meachem.. and Smith.. and Swain.
Please don't come with that stats stuff. We can argue stats all day and we know what would happen if you had to pick between any of those three receivers and AR. Stop kidding yourself.

Lockdown1 said:Look at Ainge in Cut's system. The ball was coming out fast and there were hardly any passes downfield due to the lack of a deep threat. Them sytem with Smith, Meachem, and Swain was much better and a lot more explosive. Those guys were above average college receivers.
Don't complain about me bringing facts when you clearly try to pass off Rogers having decent stats to being in a Cutcliffe system that makes it easy for him. . . and then give 3 examples and say they excelled in a different system. I'm not trying to vouch for AR much at all - I'm moreso calling you out on this little tidbit:
Oh, and Smith never wowed me at all.
Lockdown, I think we all know that you dont like Austin for some reason. Lets just say that I bet we BOTH hope that Zach turns out to be a stud.
So you'd take AR over Bret Smith?

What did Smith do that was so special? He had about 70 more career recieving yards on 2 more catches (boy was he big play compared to rogers !!! .. :blink.. Honestly, I don't know. AR is not great by any means, but neither was Smith.

Notice how I semi-answered the question. Crazy, huh? Now when you want to admit that what you said made no sense considering all 3 of the players you named excelled IN Cut's offense, the SAME one that Rogers excelled in, then tell me and quit trying to sidestep anything I ask.
Not to defend lockdown or get involved in a statiscal arguement, I'd take bret smith, jayson swain, and robert meachem over austin rogers anyday. Any sane human being would..just my thoughts
Meachem and Swain, yes. Smith - probably. Not a sure thing, though. He never did anything that wowed... then again maybe he would of had a more productive career if he could have kept his grades up and stayed out of trouble like Rogers has.
I remember Smith helping us beat Florida. Also he would be the No.1 option among Lucas Taylor, AR, and Josh Briscoe hands down.

I remember Rogers keep us alive and then catching the decisive 2pt. Conversion that beat Kentucky and put us into the SEC Championship. . . . yeah, yeah.. your point?
How do you know he would? Rogers fit soooo well into Cut's system... Oh wait! So did Smith! But then.. how would he be better? Lockdown, are you double-contradicting yourself?
