Start Shrout and hope for the best
I think it'll be tough to win vs S Carolina no matter who plays QB. We beat an SEC west team at home with JG, no reason to think we can't do the same to SCjrsI'd typically say that in spite of JG's flaws, he probably gives us a better shot, but at this point, it feels like he's lost his confidence entirely.
Hate to say it, but it's going to be very difficult to pull out a "W" without Maurer. That said, the way our O-line handled their business the past few weeks, we might be able to get away with a run-heavy gameplan and keep things simple for Shrout.

I seriously think we can push the dline off the ball enough to allow a decent run game. We will HAVE to hit a few down field throws or they are going to stack the box and its game over. They may stack it anyway and make our QB beat them throwing the ball downfield. Either way i cant call this game one way or another at this pointI'd typically say that in spite of JG's flaws, he probably gives us a better shot, but at this point, it feels like he's lost his confidence entirely.

If all we're going to do is run the ball, I'd almost rather have JG in there. He made a Top 3 all time worst play in Tennessee history mistake last week but he did have some decent drives against a very good defense. If said mistake doesn't happen and he gets us in the end zone we're not even having this conversation.Start Shrout, and run the danged ball as much as possible.
