Vandy isn't that bad. They beat Georgia on the road. Played Auburn lights out on the road and beat Ole miss. The loss to Vandy was a bad loss.

Here’s some good news: given recent events, UT is fast-tracking the AD hire. If the dominos fall right, UT could announce an AD in the next few weeks (possibly right after the Chancellor is approved), and Hart could be departing in January. Those involved have been divided on AD candidates, but are coming together in agreement that UT needs strong leadership in place ASAP.

Veteran, maybe, but worse at DL, LB and DB, especially from where we were at the beginning of the year. The backups getting reps doesn't impress me much when those reps have been beyond horrible.

We lose Barnett and Vereen but there is no way we'll perform worse on the DL.

LB we lose JRM but we didn't have him anyway and we get injured players back.

CB we lose Sutton but the version since injury hasn't been good at all.

You don't think we'll perform worse on the DL by losing the best DL player we've had in 20+ years?

As for the rest, I noted I was talking about from the beginning of the year. If we are using the defense from the mispoint on, you're right, the won't be worse, because they were about as bad as you can get.

Brice has an article today saying Charlie Anderson would not block the Blackburn hire.

He also said the timeline hasn't changed. They want an AD by the first of the year.

LSU was ranked 5th in the Pre Season. Stanford was 8, Notre Dame was ranked 10th, just behind us. Ole Miss 11th. TCU was ranked 13th...

But I guess Jones and Tennessee are the only team in the country who didn't meet expectations.

Never lose to Vanderbilt. That is one of my main expectations. I said before the game that if Dobbs had one of his zombie Dobbs games we would lose..He didn't, he had an outstanding game. If you have a 50% winning percentage against freakin Vandy..you are a fraud and a pathetic excuse for a HC. How in the hell do you give up 40+ points to stinking Vanderbilt? The worst offense in the SEC and one of the worst in CFB...congratulations Butch/Shoop you made Shurmer look like the second coming of Manning..disgusting.

I think Gaulden in a NFL Safety.
He plays downhill like a Boss .

He never needs to turn his back to the LOS again with how well he tackles and reacts to the run game.

Been saying for months this would be a class that finishes 11-15. At this point that would be a good outcome

They have done a 360. Support was divided between Blackburn and Gilbert (and Blackburn had two influentials against him), so they wanted to widen the search to a longer list of national candidates. Things have changed, and now there is a sense of immediacy. They have gone back to a much shorter list. I get the sense that they have agreed in principle and will be moving quickly. IMO, Saturday's loss hurt Gilbert's chances, but no one has told me that specifically.

Absolutely. I rewatched some of the game last week, and the difference between VT-Kirkland and VU-Kirkland was night and day. He was flying all over the place against VT. Hope he gets back to that level of play next year.
