Israel vs Palestinians

Exactly. I would have done the same, cut off all supplies, water, power and let them waller in their own mess until they surrendered.
siege warfare.
That’s how I would have handled it.

The Gaza War? An entire war? We’re talking about a singular event here with 10/7.

Nothing you want to hype up compares to what unfolded over those 24-48 hours.

Israel says it was the worst.
ADF says it was the worst.
Jews say it was the worst.

Who are you to say otherwise?

What’s your motive for downplaying 10/7? To classify Israel’s response as “disproportionate”?
you started with a day and are now up to 48 hours.

I am sure it was the worst day for Israel, just like 1/6 was the worst day for America since before Pearl Harbor and 9/11...

just because I am saying its not their worst doesn't mean I am downplaying the actual events. I am downplaying the meaningfulness of those events as it pertains to the entirety of Judaism in Israel. and it comes down to simple numbers. 3000 involved in 10/7, 10k+ involved in 2008, or several hundred thousand in '67. the Israelis have faced far far worse situations than 10/7 post 1945, I don't care what they claim as they try to downplay their dismantling of the WB.

also both the Gazan War, and appropriately named 6 Day War, were far far shorter than we have seen in response to 10/7, so don't try to dismiss them as "entire wars".

It's much easier for people to be better informed today. You're right though, many or most just look for validation of their existing views.
To add to this line of thinking people now don't want just the info..... They are looking for someone to spell it out via their prism for them. Critical thinking is a lost art form at this point.

The bulk of the event, and atrocities, took place on 10/7. The fact the terrorists were still dragging hostages back to Gaza 48 hours later is irrelevant. It was a Day for all intents and purposes.

Simple numbers? What are those numbers? You must be trying to quantify based on the number of attackers….

The attack on Nagasaki only featured a dozen assailants - so, no big deal I guess.

Why would Israel care about the number of attackers lol?

How long was the Gaza war and how many Israeli citizens were murdered?
How many Israeli citizens were murdered in the Six Day War?

Describing everyone killed as “Hamas” is trash, but what else is new
What else is new, is you have zero idea what you are talking about. Go back and review the conversation, and come back with a relevant response. Seems like a common theme lately.

You and your crew are lights out with the knee-jerk responses.

Hard to imagine there’s no possible better way than the one where Israel is blowing up ambulances with 6-year-olds for no reason
Hard to imagine there no better way to say I had a knee jerk reaction, and had no damn clue what I was responding to. Again, like I told Ras, it's okay just to say "I screwed up", or a simple "my bad".

I assume you meant that there are 30K Hamas members total and responded to your implication that there’s no better way. You’ve been pushing the “civilians aren’t really innocent” BS for a while now so it’s a weird time to pretend otherwise with an attitude

Gaza War was from December 27th to Jan 18th. seeing three listed as dead, 19 abducted.
Israel was on the offensive in the Six Day War. they wanted to make sure Israel was protected.
their war of independence claimed 2000+ civilian lives.
hard to pin down numbers, but I am seeing more than 5000 dead Israeli civilians before 10/7/2023 since Hamas took over in 2007.

which leads right back to my point you haven't addressed. why did it suddenly change? Hamas has been consistently fighting them, killing dozens if not hundreds every single year even outside the bigger fights in 2008 and 2019 and now 2023/24.

however you want to break it down.

you shoot the dog, their kid, their spouse, and blow up their house.

*the "you" in this scenario is Israel, and dogs biting means civilians getting killed by the various militaries, before hog gets confused again.

I guess Israel didn't care about one of their kids getting bit, it was only when two kids got bit that it suddenly becomes a problem? and this has played out over 70 years, and has really ramped up in the last 20, but again its supposed to only be a problem worth addressing now? After how long?

the bigger escalation was Israel, apparently Israel acting out a preplanned strategy to take more land has been discussed in this thread already. that seems a far better explanation for the complete change of scale/approach in response than the largest attack, and its apparently taboo to even bring it up. not saying right, wrong or otherwise, before you deflect again.

Its not like this is a minor increase by Israel, its not even the numbers that really matter. this is a scorched earth approach instead of targeted approach to only deal with the problem as we have seen before. and lets just say I am very very dubious about the effect this will have.

He’s got a bad habit of not understanding what he reads but I’m beginning to understand “moron” so let me see if I can clear this up.
You were talking about the 30k Hamas members and them hiding behind their people. He thought that since they claim a number of Palestinians close to that number have been killed, you were saying all the Palestinians killed were Hama members.

Hope that helps. I also speak some imbecile if you run into one of those

Person who gets clowned in every argument and then runs away like with Eastern probably shouldn’t say a word about “speaking moron” lol

Of course if the Bible is anywhere near true, then the bottom line is that Israel is being upheld by the almighty and omnipotent God of all creation, so matter how well equipped your military is, you are in deep trouble. In fact, if the sections on the Battle Of Armageddon are literal, then eventually the entire world will gang up and attack Israel in Southern Lebanon with the most advanced militaries ever and get absolutely destroyed. The countries around Israel think they are fighting against a small group of surrounded people. What if they are in fact picking a fight with the Supreme Power of all creation? They gonna lose.
Hamas is lucky Israel lost The Ark of the Covenant. When they carried that into battle it was all over before it started.

So since you’re so into the “numbers“, let’s summarize -

Gaza War - 3 Israeli citizen deaths
Six Day (which you brought up) - 20 deaths
10/7 Massacre - 800+ civilians murdered

So your statement is - “Israel has faced far worse”
And your question is - “Why did it suddenly change”?

Really?

was the Cuban Missile Crisis worse for America than the Panay Incident? More people died in the Panay Incident.

worse threats. when you are talking about a whole country the singular events don't need (many) deaths to be key elements, and its certainly possible for events including fewer deaths to be more important events than ones where more people die. especially when one of those events include being at war with at least 3 larger neighbors with militaries in the hundreds of thousands, vs an event involving more deaths against a singular smaller neighbor.

Mercy…. Make up your mind on the Six Day War

First it was a big deal -
[Israel faced] several hundred thousand in '67. the Israelis have faced far far worse situations than 10/7
Then you brushed it to the side due to a lack of civilians murdered -
Israel was on the offensive in the Six Day War. they wanted to make sure Israel was protected.
Now it’s apparently “hundreds of thousands” attacking again -
especially when one of those events include being at war with at least 3 larger neighbors with militaries in the hundreds of thousands

Israel, and the Jewish People, viewed the mass rape, torture, murder, and abduction of 1500+ of their people as a “threat”.

They refer to it as the “worst day for Jews since the Holocaust”.

Your attempts to downplay it are noted, though.
You’re free to view Israel as the bad guy as you please.

so Israel should have shut them down a long time ago.

its been a bar fight for longer than anyone here's life. Israel suddenly brings a gun to the fight, and wants to blame Hamas for escalation. THAT part doesn't add up. doesn't mean they are wrong to bring the gun, or want to end the constant fighting, just not seeing a justification in blaming Hamas for Israel's decision.
WTF? Who blew up a bunch of innocent people at a beach party again?
