Pearl was 4-9 against UK, and won 1 time at Rupp in his 6 seasons; which happened to be his first trip there. Even his #1 ranked team lost there.

Tennessee all time has only won 4 times there.

So no, both sides are definitely not equal.

You can't say either case is definite as you and others have proclaimed. If you want to say it's your opinion that Pearl would have lost in all liklihood that's one thing but to say Pearl would have definitely lost is totally an ignorant, unprovable point either way.

I spread my wings from time to time TG...found out by merely opening my eyes that our out of their league football staff could clean up in recruiting...decided to check out this weird game with the round ball :fool:

Past history doesn't dictate the future, but you certainly can use it as an indicator of what is likely to happen.

My mistake it was Alford that got them to the SS -- Martin did this; 1 CIT Appearance (Champions) and his usual NIT the next season -- then some dumb AD at Tennessee hired him away

Going from CBJ to Cuonzo is like going from Prime Rib to Bologna. I know a lot of coaches weren't intestested in the job, but man. Surely there was a coach out there that had AT LEAST been to the tourney.

Not me. I just think talking in absolutes when it involves hypotheticals is ludicrous. No one knows the outcome of the game today had Pearl been the one coaching. Now if you want me to answer who the better of the two coaches are, I would say without hesitation Pearl. I think there is plenty of evidence to back that up.
