lets see he has beat 2 national defending champions finished top 5 in both seasons in the sec which we were picked last or next to last shared coach of the year with calipari even landed 2 5 star recruits that's pretty good in 2 seasons

This. Well said. Also anyone who even tries to compare Martin to Pearl is asinine. Criticize his stupidity with the whole BBQ, but the guy obviously knew what he was doing. He's a winner.

Pearl was the most successful coach we've had since Mears. With everything being equal last year, I'd think Bruce would've won by 40+. I was pleased with the Ky win last year but what did it get us? Nothing. Another NIT appearance at the end of the day.

I didn't say I've enjoyed the past 2.5 years more than the previous 6.
I'm just saying I enjoyed beating down UK. That's the only time I've seen us do it.
And, Pearl had a similar opportunity in 2008 when he had UK at home right after Patrick Patterson was injured, and we barely won the game. That was one of Pearl's best teams against a UK team that barely slipped into the NCAAs in a game right after an injury to one of UK's best players.

Cuonzo brought this heat on himself. And yes I will give him credit for J Mac, who he inherited. Richardson has been decent. Who else has he brought in ? So you think Hubbs played like a 5 star prior to his injury? I guess im just one of the many ignorant fans who think his recruiting overall has been lackluster.

I get that, but those that defend him (which honestly there are very few that actually defend him) are no more delusional than the ones that keep repeating we need to bring Bruce back and actually think it might happen.

What makes you a Pearlophile? Fulmer had losing seasons 2 of his last 4 seasons and had slowed down. Pearl was always a winner. Do I think UT hires him back? No. Would the casual UT basketball fan be intrigued again, and would we win if he did come back? Hell yes. Explain to me what's dumb about said opinion.

On the contrast 0 NCAA tournament appearences, bad losses in SEC tournament when we were in the bubble, and couldn't even advance in the NIT

When you honestly think he is the only coach that can succeed at UT, that he's UT's only intelligent option, and start talking about how he's going to tear it up at another SEC school and probably kill us; all with a hint of "If we can't get him I really hope he kills us so I can say I was right" attitude.

That's a Pearlophile. Simply liking Pearl doesn't make you one, nor does even wishing he would come back, but there is a line that is crossed by many on here.

Your 5-7 was nothing to write home about either so how about you leave Cuonzo alone and go out there and recruit us a little better best staff in America for our football program? :)

To those saying Bruce would have lost today are as ignorant as the ones saying Bruce would have won. It's all a speculative, unprovable point.
