Tell that to Oregon, UCLA,Tex A'M, Flor and Fla St. None of them had more than 7 wins and it didn't hurt them. Relationships and playing time is just as important as anything else.

Well Luginbill just made a comment about "USC doing what they needed to do by landing guys like Griffin and ITS".....so I guess there's that.

Deserve? **** deserve. You get what you earn. What exactly have we earned? Pruitt had to recruit against a 4-8 season and a train wreck of an AD. In case you missed it, we're pretty much the laughing stock of college football. Watching some recruiting coverage today, some announcers made sure I hadn't forgotten that. All of that, and none of it of Pruitt's making. It wasn't hard to negative recruit against us this year. We gave every other team we recruit against ample ammunition before we even hired a head coach. I'll agree that today's been a dud, but you can't lay it all at Pruitt's feet. And I'm far from an apologist so please, don't think I'm trying to make excuses for Pruitt. But I do think he deserves a fair shake. Personally, I expect a lot out of next season, both on the field and on the recruiting front. Those will be situations where he has true control. Leading up to today, he's just been pissing against the wind.

None of those schools have sucked for over a decade like we have, either. UCLA and A&M have been mid-road but ranked most years...us...well....

compared to those respective schools typical team rankings I would respectfully disagree
only top 10 is fsu #8 which is low for each of them

Bagmen can only do so much. All big time programs have them. It will be hard to outspend Bama and now GA. Have to have something to sell other than what the bagman brings. Tennessee really doesn't have much to sell right now.

This sums it up. We need to win next year. I don't mean beat the MTSU's and "keep it respectable" by not getting blown out by AL, GA, etc... I mean defeat some teams we are expected to lose to because they actually have more talent and should win. That is how we will earn back respect. Then we'll see how next NSD goes.

UGA signed the #6 and #3 class before they did anything with Kirby. That was all Kirby right? How did he do it?

GA has been doing their thing for a while. They are taking it to Bama level. They also have a huge in state base. Also, while Pruitt is an unknown, Kirby proved he could win at a high level.

I think you're kinda making my point for me. If they're all on equal footing as far as facilities, fan bases, and bagman benefits, then what else do you have to make you stand out. We really have nothing to sell over other big time programs.
