‘18 CA CB Isaac Taylor-Stuart (USC signee)

Considering the circumstances it is a good class. Damn people can we give a coaching staff we were excited about when they were hired a full recruiting cycle before we sound like spoiled brats that didn't get what they wanted. I swear I think for all the good our fan base is capable of we sure try to make things harder than they have to be with all the negative talk constantly.I can't be the only one who reads these sites and thinks "what a bunch of fair weather fans"

I agree with everything you said. Pruitt literally had like a month, and he got all kinds of talent to visit.

None of those schools have sucked for over a decade like we have, either. UCLA and A&M have been mid-road but ranked most years...us...well....

That isn't even a factor. Butch wouldn't have signed the classes he did in yrs 2 and 3 if that had any bearing on recruiting classes. Kids sign with Coach's and their relationships in most cases. They don't go back and do a 6-10 year study on wins or losses. And they definitely aren't gonna base their decision off what our record was in 5-10 years ago. If that mattered then very few schools would ever compete at high levels. Saban damn sure wouldn't have dug Ala out of that big a$$ hole they had been in for a decade.

Seriously man can you let the clothes thing GO? If ITS signs with USC I'll tell you how much Hubbs was right and I was wrong for thinking we could possibly get this guy.

oh, you're right for thinking we could possibly get him.

we could have possibly gotten a lot of these kids.

:)

It's not a popular opinion but I share it. Today was bad. Not good, not even average. And where we want to go, we can't have below average. Which is bad. Recruiting is the lifeblood of a program... championship programs that is.

Ya'll think Pruitt is walking around like Ric Flair right now, thinking today was great? I'm sure he's a bit deflated. If not we hired the wrong guy.

Thankfully, he's a grinder... an actual football coach who won't dwell on it too much because he's got waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more confidence than Butch and knows if he can show some promise next year then they will come.

We wait...

While I agree with part of your assessment, Saban wasn't also a first time head coach facing the early signing date, either. All of these things are factors. My suggestion is to hold off on judgement of his recruiting prowess until he has a full shot. Jimbo is a well-known, national championship coach, and Taggart (for some reason) is a well thought of head coach as well. This year recruits will be able to see what our staff is trying to sell and that will make things easier. I'm not saying we can't dig out because we've sucked, I was pointing out that its a major factor-we are simply off the radar of a lot of these guys. I never said "we've sucked and that was the only reason."

And kids don't have to go back and study our last 6-10 years. We haven't been much of a factor and thus, they probably think we're a second rate program.

What time is ITS announcing? I thought it was supposed to have already happened?

He still hasn't announced even though you guys say he has signed with USC?

Depending on how you think, it's either:

A. We still have a chance.

or

B. He's delayed as he thinks up a brand new way to humiliate UT because just choosing someone else isn't enough.
