‘18 GA WR Jordan Young (FSU signee)

What do you want in a WR?

Speed- 10.7 100
Size- 6’3
Hands-High points the ball and plucks on the run with ease
Route Running- Very smooth for a big WR
Physicality- Routinely plays up to his size and dominates on the field

This WR class isn’t good. St.Brown going to USC is the best one. He’s like OBJ but his attitude seems to be too. This kid takes no backseat to anybody. He’s a freak prospect for sure. I think he’ll play early and often. We don’t have anything like him at WR.

Very similar to Cody Blanc

I agree. I really thought Jat Harris would be that be WR, I thought UT needed. But, Young has the same size and maybe even better football speed and Harris won the the Ga. state 100m dash. Young is a lot better WR than Harris tho. Young attacks the ball like an elite rebounder in basketball.

If they don’t camp they don’t even know them. There’s a lot of free camps out there so they need to make at least one.

I understand that, but that seems to devalue the games, which, imo, needs to carry more water than these camps. Either way, Pruitt found a future pro(I know, I sound like D4H) WR or at least, a damn good college WR before every other school that is now, beating at his door.

Leads the state in WR, all state in 6A classification of one of the most talent rich states in the nation... and nobody knew? Lol

Yeah, this guy isn’t a diamond in the rough. This is a brain fart oversight by everyone but our staff. How could anyone see his stats and not give him a flyer til now? Not even the smaller GA schools?

I mean, we get new threads started when a random RB in TN class 3A has a 200 yard game and no one looked at this guy??

Young would have won the 100m dash and the 110m hurdles in all three Tennessee class divisions (AAA, A-AA and D2) this past year, and would have been no worse than 3rd in the 300m hurdles in each of those divisions. As a junior. And he can obviously ball. Get this kid.

Appears this one will go on for a little while. In the end, I expect Young to pick the Vols, because Pruitt and Co. believed in him before many of the others did.

But he will most likely take some visits now and draw this thing out at little bit. Up until the last few days, he got no attention, so let him enjoy it for a little bit now that he's getting it.

So Young’s HS coach told Hubbs he didn’t think Young would commit today. Callahan then apparently called Young and he was told he does plan to commit today.

This is also the coach that despite him having a rediculous season and crazy intangibles did not promote him to anyone. From this I don’t believe his coach would be the closest of sources.

This is typical of what you run into sometimes. Coach wants to get in good with UGA so he doesnt get involved when kids are interested elsewhere. Not saying this is the case here but Ive seen it happen over and over. I find it strange that this kid feels like he has to help teammates with recruitment.
