Just spoke again with four-star WR Jordan Young of Heritage High School in Conyers, Ga., who has heard from several schools over the past couple of days as his stock continues to rise. Florida State has talked with Young about wanting to bring him in on an official visit, and he hasn't ruled out taking that visit sometime over the next couple weeks. Auburn, Ohio State, Florida and Miami also have shown interest in Young.

Right now, though, he said his plan still is to commit to Tennessee this afternoon. If he follows through on that plan, look for an announcement probably late this afternoon. But I would say this is a fluid situation that still could be subject to change if more schools continue to reach out. It sounds like his coach might be encouraging him to hold off and take another visit or two before rushing into a decision, so I think that's what has led to some conflicting information being out there this morning. But Young said his plans haven't changed to this point.

We'll pass along any additional updates as we get them.

Make sense. From an objective point of view I imagine he’s waiting for offers from other schools. At least we got to him first

If he truly is committing today. He's doing the right thing IMO. He's waited for a couple of days on other offers. We know how quick offers get out and how quick you can be told to look around.

If he hasn't been offered more by now, it's a possibility he wont get any other major offers. Its a win, win for us and him to go ahead and do it now.

So the same coach that saw this kid over the last couple of years and knew the talent he had, but obviously did very little to get his name out there, now wants him to wait on other offers? Seriously?

If Young wants to wait, that is different. I am all for the kid doing what he thinks is best. His future is the one on the line.

Yeah, seems fishy.

Yeah man wait till you are 100%, would rather that than a flip at this late stage.

We have spoken to the kid in the last little bit and he says he's still planning on doing something this afternoon.

More schools are calling and as we said in the podcast some around Young are advising him to take another visit or two to be sure.

Selfishly I want him to commit to UT and shut it down but if I were the young man I'd listen to my options and take a few visits before making such a big decision.

No one is telling him not to go to Tennessee. It appears that people are asking him if he is sure and advising him to maybe take another visit or two.

He might commit and still take a visit or two. We will see what happens this afternoon.

Can't be mad if he takes visits. The kid never got exposure then less than a month from NSD he is getting recognized by serious P5 schools.

If I were him. All stop. I'm not. I do believe that our new WR coach, along with the entire staff and everything Tennessee offers are reasons for all of our recruits to have high levels of confidence in their commitments to Tennessee. As for waiting and taking visits, this is crunch time. If a recruit on Coach Pruitt's A-list wants to commit, then that open spot could close to the others. Waiting is not always for the best. If Young really likes Tennessee, now might be the time for him to make that decision.
