And we have them placed highly on a pedestal that is probably unfair to them. But they are third generation royalty here. And with that comes certain expectations. It's gonna be hard for us as fans

People need to realize the berry bros haven't camped all over the place to build their hype machine up. They just play ball. They have instinct and are fast as ****. If they were to do this it would have nothing to do with inferior talent.

I've been in the silent camp since before the season started. I thought the clip from that article I posted pointed toward Moseley who I thought was previously committed to UNC-Charlotte.

I could be wrong but I don't expect any angry Jabo Lee Coach's stories this year.

No, they have many offers. But other staffs stopped recruiting them because it was obvious they are going to be vols. Other teams didn't want to waste time or resources recruiting Vol locks. And the twins haven't really shown interest in other schools.

That is not going to stop big time programs from recruiting big time talent. Schools haven't stopped recruiting Dillon Bates and he is as much of a lock as you could find anywhere. The Berry bros aren't even committed officially.

With all due respect, Auburn was in play because of their relationship with TT. I know that changed when the staff changed, but if TT were still there I think this would be a different scenario. Not saying that they would be at UT, but if we were asking them to greyshirt I think it would have complicated things. Good thing that isn't the situation IMO.

Dillon Bates hasn't visited USC, UCLA, A&M, or Oklahoma and that's who he said contacts him the most. He also hasn't visited anywhere since he committed. The Berrys haven't visited anywhere but have stated publicly that they are open to schools recruiting them on several occasions.

The way I see this is when we have these big recruiting weekends and the twins show up all the recruits get together to read the twins threads on VN. Of course everyone there knows they're Vols and they're the cap on the class come NSD but the hilarity from all the speculation in their threads is a top attraction while visiting the hill.

What on earth are you talking about? Who said they don't have other offers? You were just trying to argue that they weren't being recruited by other schools because they were locks. I'm just saying it's not beyond the realm of possibility that they won't be on scholarship next year as JC Shurburtt has said.

I believe Bates visited Bama and UF, and those were the two that gave us the most competition.

Ok...maybe I came late to this conversation. But, I am not sure I care who is still trying to recruit him. As a legacy and a smart kid, Bates is not going to visit anywhere else. I was stating that he did look at other schools before commiting and even visited them. Those schools you mentioned have no shot at him. It was basically UT, UF, or Bama from the very beginning. Now, how that relates to the Berry;s, I have no idea. But, I agree that it is clear with their little recruiting activity, they are locks for UT.

How do you know that the Berry's aren't being contacted and recruited like DB? I don't see TK getting publicly recruited by schools, but no onequestions his talent. For all we know tthe berry bros are fielding calls from schools every day, they just don't feel the need to broadcast on all over the media. They have plenty of offers.
