Think we still would’ve taken 4, if it was the right 4, and VQ agrees. As I said earlier the target number was always 4, they ID’d Johnson, Springer, Walker and Hall as what they wanted very early on.

I see no evidence we were ever signing more than one over but yes we will never know and neither side can be proven correct


Imo Hayes fit clearly in the “right” category so we should have kept going if my take of oversigning by only 1 is wrong

~JJ James is one-and-done.
~Fulkerson grad transfers.
~J Johnson grad transfers.
~Kent stays in school, gives up basketball, and gets a medical scholarship.
~Pons is cut.
~ZK is cut.
~Pember becomes a walk-on.
~things don't work out for one of the 5 new comers playing in 2019-20.

I think it definitely was between us and NC State, but the talk was around NCST and maybe he just wanted to take another visit to make sure? Heck, Springer is currently at Memphis and yet we all think he’s ours?
