Much like the Mutombo news, yes you are mistaken. Has visited Auburn, Georgia and Georgia Tech at least...likely LSU at some point as well but not positive.

Obviously a long way to go, but at the very least it’s a legit possibility, wouldn’t be wise to count on that if you’re Smith...again, it was mentioned a lot that Davison to Auburn could be a draw, they were AAU teammates and friends, but he just chose Bama.

Agreed. It would be a huge bummer to have the #1 PG in the country and be unable to find an elite big man to pair with him, especially if you’re beat out by the trash basketball program at UGA.

Still rather it be Georgia than Auburn. I get why losing him to Georgia is more perplexing but just thinking practically Auburn is the team I worry about and don’t want getting any better

Yeah I think if Cooper has a good year, he’ll be gone. He doesn’t have typical NBA size and he will go collect his check if he is able, as he should.

The next step for Barnes at UT is an elite frontcourt player. It doesn't look like it should be that much of a challenge with all of the backcourt/wing talent we are bringing in... but it looks like we might go 0-3 on Banchero, Mutombo and Smith. Very disappointing if that is how it shakes out.

I believe Mutombo choosing Georgetown was because he had a good idea Jabari was going to be a Vol, and he (Mutombo) wanted to be a centerpiece somewhere. I believe Smith will be a Vol.

When it comes to what he is looking for in a program, Smith said he wants a school that is going to continue to push him to get better.
”I feel like a school that won't treat me any different than the last guy on the roster, they're always going to push me and be on me everyday, not let me slack, not let me stop working and get complacent. A school like that will be my number one priority. Then a coach that believes in me, cares about winning, a coach that has coached somebody like me or has had guys that I think play like me or do things that I do well.

Seems like a pretty standard statement, not much to glean from it. Though if I’m going to contradict myself maybe the coached guys like me refers to KD if he sees himself (or UT sees him) as an oversized 3? Idk just trying to stay positive

I’ve been saying I thought UT/UGA, Auburn in it, but missing non Davison hurt.
