Its not habit at knox catholic, Hood loves the vols, visited Auburn 1 time last year and Tennessee 5.....
been to UT a number of times this year and attended orange & white game!

There's a rumor that we've backed off Hood, anyone know if that's correct?

My take is that it's a perception thing: If the Vols had been kicking a$$ the last couple/few years, this kid probably would have committed--fearing that he's going to miss the Vol locomotive chugging down the track. When your muddling along, kids are more inclined to look around.

Nebraska is different and can't be compared to UT, in my opinion. There is NOTHING going on in Nebraska or that part of the country--very few if any good programs in neighboring states. So if you're a decent football player in that state--B level, not top 100 or 200, meaning teams aren't beating down your door, you want that nebraska schollie even if the program as suxed for 10 years.

Thats the word and I have been trying to find out what is going on. Apparently his dad posts on here but he didnt respond to my post about it before so who knows. Whatever it is, supposdely its not good and the people who mentioned it just said we backed off but will not say why because they dont want to air it out. Others have said they heard something about it on a Knoxville call in show and someone went into detail about what was going on but again they wouldnt say what.

It could be an elaborate rumor but too many people are saying it and the ones who did post something about it are pretty reliable. We will see soon enough hopefully. I hope its just a rumor.

This is all I have seen and cant get anyone to let it out.

I don't know if this has already been posted, but I have it on good authority that the Vols are no longer recruiting Daniel Hood from Catholic.

Two weeks ago a caller on 990 Sports Animal in Knoxville explained it all. Unbelievably, 990 didn't dump his call. They have a 7 second delay I believe and that didn't seem to matter.

Needless to say, what was discussed by this caller was disturbing. I'm not surprised UT has backed off.

Hood is an excellent student and will make some college a great football player, UT is worried about an incident that happened when he was 13! They don't see a great prospect in front of them, because they are blinded by their own "perfection"!

Can't be discussed, it's against the law to discuss or divulge any one's juvenile record! Feel free to ask the school or anyone that knows him what kind of person he is. You will find he is an excellent student and a very loyal friend. None of us are perfect, we've all had our problems and there are a lot of jealous people out there that will do anything to try and bring someone down!

Can't be discussed, but I can say that a 13 year old kid is not the same as an 18 year old, big maturity difference. He was used by jealous people to get at me.

Thank you sir for coming on here and shedding some light onto the situation. All anyone had seen was ooh something bad but no real details as to what happend. Lets just hope that things can work out for everyone.
