rexvol, I hope UT signs this kid assuming any trouble is distantly in the rear view mirror...

OTOH, what will the more negative among us squeal when by being a 3* he lowers UT's class ranking per the recruiting services? Remember it takes about a 3.5 to crack the top 25 with a class the size UT is likely to take... anything less than a 4* lowers the avg.

The Chick'n Lil's of VolNation had a field day in February because UT took a bunch of 3*'s and were ranked 35th by Rivals.

PS Mr Hood- Please don't be offended. I just know how some of the same people criticizing UT for not getting your son's commitment were complaining about the 2008 class ranking. I trust that if your son is the caliber of player that he sounds like he is... he'll make a fine college player.

it's not gonna matter to me if my son goes to ut after the way they treated him after this (not even a phone call to him!) he may not be a 3* rated player but he's good enough to be recruited by over half of the sec teams, 4 acc, 2 pac 10, and a few others and he's smart enough that the ivy league is inquiring. Total of 14 offers to date @ 5 different positions!

I haven't heard anybody complain about D. Allen or T. Williams. I doubt anybody would complain about getting Hood either.

I do not think Tennessee will make his top 10 list. I spoke with him last night and it was not a school we talked about. There should be an article soon on the PrepTennessee.com site later on. Right now I think he is interested in going out of state. Offers from Florida State, UCLA, and Colorado are all very favorable to him.

Sounds more like shoved off from the way his dad talks. Doesn't matter if UT was in his top 10 if they aren't calling him anymore then they have moved on. Sounds like the best thing for him right now is to go somewhere and start new if his past is going to be an issue here. Best of luck to Daniel and hopefully he will have a great career and prove that he has moved on and away from his past.

wow, that is a trip. who does something like that? you cant use youth as an excuse for that type of behavior.

This kid is supposed to be trusted in college on a campus unsupervised with a bunch of female students? Glad this kid will be someone else's problem to worry about. The last thing we need is another potential problem.

i looked this up awhile back, didn't know if i should post it or not, so i didn't. but yea, that's pretty awful.
